The official opening by the Lord Mayor of Leicester, Councillor Bhupen Dave is at 11am, Friday 06 September. The superstore at Countinghouse Road, Freemen's Common Leicester is ideally placed, fronting the inner relief road and will act as a donation centre and will retail fashion and homewares as well as toys, furniture, bedding and all types of home accessories. We hope the new shop will encourage the people of Leicester to recycle their unwanted items by donating them to the superstore. Donations to the charity this year saved 700,000kg of waste going into landfill alone". Yesterday marked a significant moment in my career, the opening of The Rayware Group’s first ever retail store under the Kilner brand, and my biggest project to date. Months of hard work and careful planning has gone into this and it was super rewarding to see so many people head through the doors once the ribbon had been cut. I am lucky to have had an amazing project team on my side who have shown commitment and determination to get things done. Hats off to Joanne Tranter who, as the Project Lead, has been an incredible support, as well as Simon Hargreaves from Fluenta Design who made our ideas become a reality with an impressive and stress free shop fit. Thanks also to Rob and Peter from Space RPC who found us the perfect place to create the Kilner store: McArthur Glen’s Designer Outlet in Swindon! After yesterday’s successful opening, we have left the shop in the capable hands of our retail store team, who we have every faith in to make it a success.
