🌟🏆 Twinning Finale in Newtownards! 🤝🎉 On Tuesday we wrapped up our Twinning Programme in Newtownards, as P6 pupils from St. Finian's Newtownards and West Winds Primary School and Nursery Unit reunited — this time coming together at West Winds PS—for a final morning filled with fun, friendships, and more positive experiences. 💛 Through sporting activities and teamwork, these pupils have built connections, helped break down barriers, and create fun memories, showing that by coming together with their partner school, you can have meaningful impact 🌍✨ Shoutout to Ards and North Down Borough Council Good Relations Team for their support in driving forward the project in Bangor and Newfownards. The schools have been amazing, and we look forward to working the areas again very soon 💪👏 #SportChangesLife #TwinningProgramme #GoodRelations #ArdsAndNorthDown

🏆 Play & Unite Football Camp Finalist at NI Hummingbird Awards! ⚽ It is great to see the Play & Unite Football Camp shortlisted as a finalist in the Community Project category at the NI Hummingbird Awards this March! 🎉 An idea brought to life by Emma Morgan (Celtic Boys Belfast) and Stephen Rea (Knockbreda FC), the initiative brought two clubs together through sport after some on/off the field issues, and supported their young players in good relations, personal development, and mental health support. What started as a simple idea has now left a lasting legacy across Belfast—expanding to 8 clubs in year two and 12 clubs in year three! At Sport Changes Life, we were proud to help co-ordinate and facilitate this project, ensuring its success in uniting young people through the power of sport. The camp has played a vital role in bridging divides, helping young people understand their similarities and differences, and building friendships that go beyond the pitch. Alongside Emma and Stephen, it is important to mention Clanmil Housing Group, Apex Housing Association Connswater, Radius Housing and TAMHI for the support in making the project possible! Supported by ‘Housing for All’, The camp was made possible through the Department for Communities and Housing Executive’s Shared Housing Programme, which originates from the Northern Ireland Executive Together: Building a United Community Strategy. The Strategy reflects the Executive’s commitment to improving community relations and continuing the journey towards a more united and shared society. A massive congratulations to everyone involved —Emma and Stephen - this recognition is truly well deserved! 👏🏻🫶🏻⚽️ #SportChangesLife #PlayAndUnite #CommunityImpact #NIHummingbirdAwards #BridgingDivides

In relation to our previous post -A quick video highlight of our recent team building sessions with the staff of Kingsbridge Healthcare Group A simple but effective way to engage with staff, helping raise awareness of both the Kingsbridge Foundation and Sport Changes Life. We have been building a strategy that helps strengthen relationships with businesses, that not only benefits their staff, but also the local communities that we serve; who benefit from our mission and programmes, all through sport. #SportChangesLife

🤝 Beyond Business with Kingsbridge Healthcare Group 🤝 We had an amazing time delivering team-building sessions back in December with staff from Kingsbridge Private Hospital across their Ballykelly, Danesfort, and Potter’s Quay sites! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share more about the Kingsbridge Foundation and Sport Changes Life, and most importantly, take a well-earned break for some festive fun, positive experiences, and team bonding in the lead-up to Christmas. A huge thank you to everyone who took part—our staff enjoyed it just as much🎉 If you would like to hear more or get involved in our Beyond Business initiatives, reach out to us via DM or email info@sportchangeslife.com #SportChangesLife #KingsbridgeFoundation #TeamBuilding #BeyondBusiness #MakingADifference #PositiveImpact

🌟 Tackling ASB Through Sport Through the support of Ards and North Down PCSP, we currently have two Young Ambassador programmes running in Newtownards and Bangor - working with young people through sport, whilst exploring sensitive conversations around risk-taking behaviour, respect, and integrity in the community. 🤝 Simultaneously, by getting them more active and building trust through sport, we’re looking to tackle antisocial behaviour, empowering these young people to make more positive choices and inspire change. 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️💡 #SportChangesLife #YoungAmbassadors

Well done Randy Butler - congratulations! Keep up the good work!
Humbled & grateful to be named in Colgate University’s 40 Under 40 for Social Impact & Sustainability (and during Black History Month!!) Colgate has always been more than just a university to me—it was a community that helped me fine tune my values and my "Why." From my days on the basketball court at Cotterell Court to the work I do now in Philadelphia with Philadelphia Youth Basketball , the lessons I learned through the game, through mentorship, and through the power of a strong, supportive community have never left me. When you love what you do, you will never have a job. My time spent with Sport Changes Life Foundation and currently with Philadelphia Youth Basketball reinforces the importance of creating safe spaces where young people can grow, believe in themselves, and see their potential beyond any limitations. My journey has been about lifting as I climb—ensuring that youth, and especially young girls, have access to opportunities, mentorship, and environments where they feel seen and valued. This recognition is not just mine—it belongs to my older siblings who showed me the way, coaches who pushed me, the teammates who supported me, the professors who challenged me, the mentors who encouraged me, and the young people who continue to inspire me every day. Thank you, Colgate University, for being the foundation of a journey that is still unfolding. And thank you to the communities I am humbled to be on this journey with. Thank you for trusting me and reminding me that we are ALL in this together! #GoGate https://lnkd.in/erX78REY
