🚨 Lock Up Your Boss for Charity! 🚨 Remember, remember the 8th of November, When bosses are jailed for crimes to remember! St Mary’s Hospice is hosting Lock Up Your Boss—a unique corporate fundraising event, and we need your help! Employees can nominate their bosses for lighthearted “crimes” like never making a cup of tea or being grumpy on Monday mornings. On Friday 8th November at Barrow Town Hall, bosses will stand trial in front of Mayor Judith McEwan, with Napthens LLP presenting both the prosecution and defense. Bosses must raise enough bail money to secure their release—or face a day of community service at St Mary's Hospice! 😄 This is a fantastic opportunity to support a worthy cause while having a bit of fun with your colleagues. There will also be a networking lunch after the hearings so this is an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded businesses. Every penny raised goes directly to St Mary’s Hospice, helping them continue their invaluable work in our community. 🗓️ Date: Friday 8th November 📍 Location: Barrow Town Hall 🕙 Time: 10am Let’s make this a memorable day for a great cause! Nominate your boss here: https://lnkd.in/dwBsxRb2 #LockUpYourBoss #CorporateFundraising #StMarysHospice #CommunitySupport #CSR #ESG

A huge thank you to the lovely Rebecca from Photohoof, who has just popped into the hospice to deliver the stunning memory book she created at our Walk To Remember event last Friday! 📸✨ Rebecca generously attended the event free of charge with her fantastic mobile horse box photo booth, capturing beautiful moments throughout the day. Each participant received a copy of their photos, with another placed into the memory book, where they had the chance to write a heartfelt message alongside it. Her kindness didn’t stop there – Rebecca also brought us a big box of Pick ‘n’ Mix sweets, which we’ll be sharing with the families of our patients. 💜🍬 We are so grateful for her continued support, generosity, and for helping us preserve such precious memories. Thank you, Rebecca! #WalkToRemember #Gratitude #HospiceCommunity #PhotoHoof #KindnessMatters

The HIT Company Takeover 2024 led by Sally Craig will challenge you with HITCARDIO, HITCIRCUIT, and HITSTEP classes on Sunday 22 October at 10.00 am at Barrow Park Leisure Centre. For £10 per person, you can join in and support St Mary's Hospice. Contact Sally to book either 1, 2 or 3 classes by donating through the provided link. https://lnkd.in/evxE5CPu Sally said "Over the last few years, I decided to choose a charity to donate funds to, who helped support my aunty whilst she was battling cancer. Very sadly earlier this year she lost her battle. Throughout her last days she was cared for at St Marys Hospice. So this year, of course, I would like to raise money for St Marys. My aunty loved fitness. She loved these events and loved coming to my classes. I hope everyone taking part will also enjoy them." Thank you so much 😀

🚨 Introducing our brand new event: "Lock-Up-Your-Boss!" 🚨 Ever thought your boss deserved a day in court? Now’s your chance to make it happen! At this exciting new fundraiser, local bosses will be "arrested" and must stand trial for their "crimes". They’ll have to provide a statement and face a tough cross-examination in front of their colleagues - all while trying to fundraise their bail money to secure their freedom. And presiding over the court to make the final judgement will be none other than the Barrow Town Mayor, Judith McEwan, as our tough hospice judge! Nominate your boss today using the QR code or go to https://lnkd.in/dwBsxRb2 and let’s see if they can handle the heat and raise vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice. Will they make bail, or will they be charged with community service? Stay tuned to find out! #CSR #ESG #CorporateChallenge #CorporateFundraising #Fundraising #Cumbria #LakeDistrict

Did you know that our good friends at Holiday Inn Express, Barrow-in-Furness & South Lakes hold their Coffee Club from 10am until 4pm every day of the week? This means that, for every hot drink sold during this time, they donate 20p to charity; 10p to ourselves and 10p to another worthwhile cause. Why not pop down to their cafe on Market Street in Barrow to get your caffeine fix and donate to charity at the same time! #CSR #CorporateSocialResponsibility #CauseRelatedMarketing #GivingBack #Community #Charity
