Thank you to all our partners who have worked together to help make sure that fans could travel safely and smoothly to the second test event at the stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. In the run up to the event, we worked really closely with Everton Football Club, transport operators, the council and, most fan groups on travel planning and we will continue to take on board feedback ahead of the first league game of the season in August. Thanks to all staff who helped deliver transport services today. The region’s network carried over half the people attending today’s event – 500 on Mersey Ferries, over 2,000 on dedicated shuttle bus services and more than 12,000 by train. And finally, a special thanks to the fans for their patience and understanding. By listening to our advice and planning their journeys they played an important role in helping get everyone to where they needed to go smoothly and safely. Transforming brownfield land into a £130m flagship development in the heart of Birkenhead. In less than three years, a longstanding derelict dockland has been transformed into 500 sustainable waterfront apartments and is now a seriously spectacular part of the local skyline. From breaking ground in July 2022 to completing the first 150 apartments two years later, the development of Millers Quay has seen some incredible milestones, with the completion of the final 350 apartments right around the corner.
