Building bridges, whether that's strengthening communities to bringing together the UK Labour Party, unity was at the centre of Miatta Fahnbulleh's campaign branding. The logo symbolised her desire for party and national unity. The vibrant identity reflected her Sierra Leone background and the creative culture of Peckham. The identity amplified the core message that only through unity can communities thrive and big ideas turn into reality. We're honoured to have supported a power-house now leading the charge for economic and climate justice. Congratulations Miatta Fahnbulleh MP on your win! The project was a joyful collaboration with the talented Georgia O'Brien on the website build - we can't recommend her enough. #StudioSana #Branding #GraphicDesign #Elections2024

"My (non-Labour) housemate said she would put this on her wall. No joke these were her words!" - Campaign Organiser, UK Labour Party We produced the creative strategy and visual identity for Lewisham Labour's election campaign. Whilst a traditional red seat, UK Green Party support was rising and political engagement declining. The design had to energise Labour voters, cut through political apathy and showcase their past achievements. The manifesto was brought to life through collage illustrations combining Lewisham’s people, businesses and culture. This amplified the message that local people are at the heart of every decision. Lewisham Labour won in all 54 wards, including areas fought heavily by the opposition such as Blackheath and Ladywell. The design work received local praise and was featured in Creative Review ➡ https://lnkd.in/eQUTwRP8 #StudioSana #VisualIdentity #Manifesto #Election #Illustration

Decolonising Contraception was created in 2018 as a radical response to sexual and reproductive health inequalities. The organisation evolved and the name and visual identity no longer reflected their broadening work. We created the Reproductive Justice Initiative logo and visual identity. We stayed away from activism cliches and kept the design gender neutral to reflect their belief that everyone should have equal access to sexual and reproductive health. Candidate branding and website design for Leanne Mohamad, independent candidate for Ilford North. A community chosen candidate, who stood for a new dawn of politics. Her background as a local youth worker and human rights campaigner, offered moral clarity and strength. She embodied being the light in the dark. The communications strategy was to stand-out from the established parties making her truly independent. She offered real hope, and the community-driven campaign went onto demolish the area’s majority. #brand #visualidentity #graphicdesign #election #generalelection

Last week, Sana Iqbal joined a panel discussion on creative paths with Ade Sanusi Steven Allen Victoria Monari and June Mineyama-Smithson at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London It was a refreshing discussion, where we were honest in our trials and the support we've received to succeed. The event showed there is no singular path into the industry and success is different to everyone. Thank you June and Catherine Le Lievre for inviting us.

Last month, we attended the first Northern Design Festival. Our Founder, Sana Iqbal, joined a panel discussion on the North-South divide with Northern powerhouses Craig Oldham Andy Walmsley & Lisa Collier. We had a lively debate discussing opportunity equity, 'levelling-up' to building your own creative spaces. Our biggest reflection is no matter where you're based, be driven by your purpose. We're looking forward to the next NDF Antonia Arbova Niamh Cartwright! Photographs by Callum Lea
