Day one at #CyberUK24 was a blast. I spent most of it chatting to folk at the Surevine stand, but did manage to drop in on some sessions, particularly on Secure by Design. The importance of partnership and collaboration was a key message running through most of the plenary contributions. Anne Keast-Butler, Director GCHQ saying of her three themes of resilience, partnerships and speed that “we need to work together faster and ever more effectively”, “collaboration is crucial to out-innovate our adversaries” and “our partnerships are our competitive edge”. And Felicity Oswald OBE saying “if we are going to out-compete [our adversaries] we must do so together” and “our colllaborations are central to our collective success, and that’s what CyberUK is all about.” Looking forward to another day of collaboration!

After a fun opening reception at the Custard Factory (no, really!) last night, it’s day one of the #CyberUK24 conference today. On the way in I was welcomed by this statue of none other than William Murdoch, who (according to family legend) is a forbear of mine! Surevine are exhibiting at D2. Come and say hi.
