The Sustainable Healthcare Coalition today announces the launch of a new discussion paper, ‘Building environmental considerations into the evaluation of health interventions: taking a care pathway approach’.    This paper comes at an important turning point in environmental sustainability of healthcare, as health technology assessment (HTA) agencies and other key decision-makers have committed to building environmental considerations into their choices around health interventions.   In practice, this raises many issues, both methodological and ethical. The paper was developed  in partnership with Novo Nordisk, GSK, Sanofi, Roche and BUPA and The Health Policy Partnership to outline some key considerations and guiding principles that we believe all stakeholders should keep front of mind as, together, we try to chart a feasible way forward that will benefit people, the environment and innovation.
