5 years ago, I spotted this post from Will Herman looking for a little bit of help. I was an ideal candidate - cheap and eager, just starting my journey as a developer during lockdown. What followed was a long collaboration on The Isklander Trilogy. I was able to help SWAMP (or rather Swamp Motel, as it was!) scale from running 10 games a night on 10 laptops to 120 games a night all in the cloud. It was an enormous learning curve - I am very grateful to them for taking a punt on me! It’s a 5 year anniversary! I was so excited when Swamp asked me to join the team during Covid. We grew and improved and had such a great time doing it. I met some brilliant stage managers and got to work with incredibly creative people. If you haven’t played it, forgot what Ivy’s dog’s name is, where The Mermaid’s Tongue ended up or what happened to Katherine Stewart, it’s definitely worth experiencing (again).
