We started our video agency just over 12 months ago... with one goal in mind: 🎯 Be the absolute simplest + easiest service on the market when it comes to creating B2B video content. And today... we move ten steps closer to that goal. ✅ New reworked service offerings (and website), so that now any video need that a B2B company may have... we can help get it done. In the most simplest, effective and cost efficient way. You'll be seeing some examples of our new "presenter-led" video service over the next week but in the meantime, check out our site. --- 👇 If you want a recap of how our new video service works - here it is: Let's say you have an upcoming product launch and need 3-4 different videos created; a product demo and x3 feature walkthroughs/use case videos. 1️⃣ Send us the scripts (we can create them for you) and we'll match you with one of our actors in our network. 2️⃣ Before we record with the actor, we'll customise the video backdrop at our studio so it matches your company's branding (light colour and items etc.) 3️⃣ Once the video has been recorded, our pro animators will get it edited to match your design/branding style. 4️⃣ ...and then, we'll send you the video/videos and help you distribute! We'll be dropping an example video we made for G2 later on this week as part of our launch - stay tuned 😎

I talk about SaaS video strategy | B2B videos that make $, not awards.

I think we will see more and more SaaS companies shift away from SEO. (At least, the blog-first SEO approach). It's harder than ever now to run that traditional "SEO playbook." And... if you're in a competitive category? Almost impossible. Certain companies and founders are starting to realise this and instead of trying to outrank a competitor with a blog article... they're creating a YouTube video. Here's why: #1: Search behaviour. Buyers search behaviour has shifted. In a lot of cases now, when someone is searching for something (how-to etc.) they're clicking on a video NOT a blog article. Yes... even if they're not on TikTok or YouTube but just in the standard SERPS. And yes... even in SaaS. #2: Content efficiency. Video is so much more "repurposable" than text. And it can be repurposed and used in lots of different ways across lots of different platforms. For small teams - this makes (high volume) content creation so much easier.

I talk about SaaS video strategy | B2B videos that make $, not awards.

We romanticise the big brand video in B2B marketing as the video of all videos. But here's the reality... A) It’s not practical for 99% of SaaS companies due to the high costs. And also: B) It shouldn’t be your focus until your core video strategy is fully developed across the entire funnel. Here’s what I mean... 1️⃣ Awareness Stage: 👉 Thought leadership videos. 👉 Category leadership videos. 2️⃣ Consideration Stage: 👉 Product demo videos. 👉 Product use case videos. 3️⃣ Conversion Stage: 👉 Customer testimonial videos. 👉 Competitor comparison videos. 👉 Product how-to videos. 👉 Objection-handling videos. ...and when I say "fully developed," I mean a robust system that allows you to consistently produce video content for all stages of the funnel... every single quarter. p.s. this clip was taken from my upcoming Video First podcast episode with 📸 Ademola - dropping soon!

Many B2B companies are missing out on a huge opportunity by neglecting YouTube. It's not enough to just have a presence – your channel needs to be optimized. 1️⃣ Format: Are your videos designed for how people watch on YouTube? 2️⃣ Titles & Thumbnails: Are they engaging and clickable? 3️⃣ Consistency: Are you posting regularly to keep your audience engaged? 4️⃣ Language: Ditch the jargon and speak directly to your audience. Remember, YouTube is a search engine. By optimizing your content, you can reach a wider audience and drive real business results.

Large-scale video projects thrive on clear communication and collaboration. Here's how to ensure a smooth process: 1️⃣ Define clear roles:  Involve all stakeholders from the outset, and establish a shared understanding of the steps and processes involved. 2️⃣ Go beyond basic feedback:  Encourage feedback that addresses the entire project scope, not just individual videos. This helps align everyone involved. 3️⃣ Explore diverse collaboration tools:  Move beyond traditional email and explore tools specifically designed to streamline video feedback and project management (Frame.io etc.)

What's the easiest way to start creating B2B video content? Repurpose your top-performing articles into short, engaging videos. Think 2-3 minute YouTube-optimized summaries with visuals that capture attention. Embed these "highlight videos" directly into your articles to offer a digestible alternative for your audience.

Confession time: creating video content is HARD. Budgets, approvals, finding the right team... it's a lot! But here's the very harsh reality reality: your customers don't care. They crave valuable content. If you don't deliver, your competitor will.

Is YouTube a ghost in your traffic reports? 👻 Many B2B companies struggle to see YouTube as a direct traffic source. Instead of relying solely on analytics, try this: ask your customers how they found you. You might be surprised how many discovered you through a YouTube video. Add a simple question about content discovery to your onboarding, customer success processes, or even sales calls. This will give you a much clearer picture of your video strategy's impact.
