It was great to see our Neighbourhood Team attend the RESOLVE ASB National Conference in Nottingham earlier this month. 🏡 It was a valuable opportunity to share best practices, learn from others, and explore new approaches to tackling anti-social behaviour that will help us continue improving our approach to community safety. 🔑🤝

🌙 We’re Sleeping Out for Change! 🌙 This year, we’re once again taking part in the Sleep Out in solidarity for Llamau, raising awareness and vital funds for people facing homelessness. Last year, we raised an incredible £2,380 which provided safe shelter for 28 people in need. And with your support, we hope to go even further this time! It costs just £98 to provide someone with a safe place to sleep for the night in one of Llamau’s projects. It is with a heavy heart that we remember and pay tribute to our dear colleague, Mark Orpin following his death on Wednesday 16th of October aged only 35 years. Mark was an integral part of our team at Taff, and his dedication and passion for his work in both our Customer Repairs and Support teams was truly inspiring. Mark's commitment to excellence was evident in everything he did. Whether he was assisting a tenant with a complex issue or simply lending a helping hand to a colleague, Mark approached every task with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference. His ability to connect with people and his unwavering patience made him a beloved figure among tenants, services users and colleagues. Beyond his professional achievements, Mark was a wonderful person to be around. His kindness, sense of humour, and willingness to go the extra mile for others created a warm and supportive environment in our workplace. He was always ready to offer a word of encouragement or share a laugh, making even the busiest of days a little brighter. Mark's contributions to Taff and the impact he had on all of us will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and friendship that will continue to inspire us. As we remember Mark, we celebrate not only his accomplishments at work but also the incredible person he was. Rest in peace, Mark. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing you.

Last week, we welcomed Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government, Jayne Bryant MS, and Sian Coggins, Head of Housing Funding at the Welsh Government, to our Cwrt Alaw development in Canton.🏡 It was great to have them meet Taff colleagues from our Development and Neighbourhood team as we discussed our collective efforts to address the housing crisis here in Wales.🤝💬 While the visit focused on our work in developing new homes, we also took the opportunity to share successes and challenges across all our housing and support initiatives.📈🏠 Cwrt Alaw, constructed using a ‘fabric first’ approach, provides ten new, high-quality, energy-efficient one- and two-bedroom flats, featuring innovative technologies such as solar panels, batteries, mechanical ventilation and heating systems.🌞🔋🌱
