This evening The Highfield Hospital hosted a patient info evening : Hips, Knees & Chippy teas alongside Mr Wheelton - Orthopaedic hip & knee consultants. It was a huge success, with over 30 people in attendance who all found the information shared invaluable which led to many of them wanting to book appointments to find out how we are best placed to help them with their symptoms. Huge thanks to Andrew Wheelton for presenting a truly informative evening, Ewan Harvey from our physio team for supporting the event and Ellie Meadowcroft for assisting with the planning and implementation of the evening. We welcome the Government’s announcement and have long championed the right for patients to choose where and when they have their treatment delivered. We support putting choice at the heart of the Government’s strategy. NHS patients need to know they can access NHS care free at our hospitals, with the hospital simply receiving the same fee as any NHS organisation. We look forward to working with the Government to bring down waiting lists across the NHS.
