A fantastic write-up from Joe Bush at The Manufacturer following his visit to the #PlanetSavingInnovations Exhibition here in London has recently been published. The article highlights some of the exhibiting companies whose groundbreaking technology is reshaping the textiles industry, including Colorifix, Ecovative - the mycelium technology company, Epoch Biodesign , Nanoloom, NFW, Octarine Bio, Solena Materials Limited, Spintex and unspun™, and explains the work that each of them are doing in a compelling and digestible way. It also includes some great quotes from our Head of Europe Amy Tsang, who explains the importance of this exhibition, which is based on the Planetary Boundaries Framework, created by Stockholm Resilience Centre. Of the nine planetary boundaries within which humanity can continue to develop and thrive for generations to come, we have already crossed six and the innovations exhibited are therefore focused on reducing the negative impact across those six themes. Find the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ec8qSgny And if you have yet to visit the exhibition, secure your spot at the following link, before it closes on September 30th: https://lnkd.in/ecCkE7i7 #Energy #NetZero #Sustainability #Textiles #TechStyle #TheMillsFabrica #Innovations #Tech

Yesterday, The Mills Fabrica hosted Fashion Revolution's official press launch for their new #WhatFuelsFashion report. The report, which is a special edition of Fashion Revolution’s annual Global Fashion Transparency Index, offers an in-depth analysis of how big brand’s decarbonisation claims hold up. The report analyses and ranks 250 of the world’s biggest fashion brands and retailers based on their public disclosure of climate and energy-related actions, covering Accountability, Decarbonisation, Energy Procurement, Financing Decarbonisation, and Just Transition and Advocacy over 80 data points. Overall, the report finds that big fashion is falling short of much-needed climate investments. The Mills Fabrica are proud to have the Fashion Revolution team as members of our co-working space and to host the findings of their latest pivotal piece of research.
