📢 BIG NEWS at the Port of Mostyn! We're excited to announce two major developments, enabling us to support the future of the offshore renewable energy industry: 1️⃣ Quay Expansion Marine License. We have been granted our Marine License from Natural Resources Wales for construction of a 350-metre quay expansion and an additional 13 acres of reclaimed land. This major expansion is designed to accommodate the next generation of offshore wind turbines and enable the world's largest jack-up vessels to berth at the Port. 2️⃣ Strategic Acquisition of Adjoining Site. We have recently completed the purchase of the adjoining 45-acre former Warwick International site, expanding our capacity and opening up exciting new possibilities for future growth and development. These combined investments mark a major step forward for the Port of Mostyn, and the UK's renewable energy sector, creating 300 jobs and solidifying our role as a key hub for offshore renewable energy. Read more about it, including support from Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government ministers at the link below.

We know that for every £1 invested in port facilities, a return of £3 is generated to the Welsh economy, and therefore both Welsh and UK Governments can not underestimate the value and benefit of ports to our local and national economies 🚢 So how are our Welsh ports preparing for the future of marine renewables? 🔗: https://lnkd.in/ev5B2PWv Associated British Ports The Port of Mostyn Port of Milford Haven Pembroke Port

Fantastic achievement to date, and we are proud to have contributed with 2GW of Offshore Wind Farms being constructed from The Port of Mostyn, including the very first in British waters over twenty years ago. We look forward to continuing to support the installation of additional gigawatts of clean energy, helping the UK achieve its net zero goals. #PortofMostyn #offshorewind #offshorewinduk #renewableuk #renewableukcymru #cymru #wales #netzero

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming board members from the Port of Pärnu as they explore opportunities in the offshore renewable energy industry, focusing on Operations & Maintenance (O&M). As the birthplace of the UK offshore wind industry, the Port of Mostyn was happy to share our knowledge and experience, gained from our long-standing relationship with RWE across three different O&M bases here in Mostyn. With the ever-growing Baltic Sea offshore wind industry, we wish the Port of Pärnu the very best. #RenewableEnergy #OffshoreWind #PortofMostyn #PortofParnu Indrek Minka Oliver Einmann
