🌟 It’s Movember, UK! 🌟 This November, we're growing our moustaches to raise awareness for men's health issues—from prostate cancer to testicular cancer, and mental health to suicide prevention. 💙 Movember isn’t just about sporting a bit of facial fuzz; it’s about starting important conversations and supporting the men in our lives—our dads, brothers, friends—who may be struggling in silence. 🎗️ Elliot’s Story 🎗️ Elliot, a university student at Newcastle, received the devastating news of his Osteosarcoma diagnosis in March 2023. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment in hospital. With his student loan stopped after deferring his course, and his mum having left work to be by his side, the family has faced increasing financial pressure. The next phase of Elliot’s treatment involves surgery in Birmingham, which adds more financial stress. The 90-mile journey each way, combined with food and accommodation expenses for a two-week stay, comes to around £100. These extra costs are a heavy burden for Elliot’s family, but thanks to your generous donations, we were able to help alleviate some of this pressure. Your contributions also allowed us to provide Elliot with new comfy clothes after his considerable weight loss due to treatment. To help him pass the time during long hospital stays, we also sent him books and games to keep his mind off the difficult journey he’s on. Elliot shared his gratitude with a heartfelt message: “Thank you so much, I am very grateful for the charity’s kindness and generosity.” Your support makes a real difference to young people like Elliot. 🎗️ Angel’s Story 🎗️ Angel, a 25-year-old Clinical Care Practitioner at Kingston Hospital, was living an active and healthy life, enjoying regular trips to the gym, playing netball, and swimming. In February 2024, her world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer.  Her treatment plan is long and intense, consisting of eight rounds of chemotherapy and surgery, requiring her to travel to and from the hospital three times a week for treatments, scans, and appointments. Each trip costs around £15, and with her regular rent and bills to pay, the financial strain has only added to the challenges she faces. Thanks to your incredible donations, we were able to support Angel with her travel costs, making it just a little easier for her to focus on her treatment without the added burden of financial stress.  Your generosity makes a real difference.
