❗ Last chance to register: Additive Manufacture of High Integrity Components Are you interested in learning about the latest advancements in additive manufacture such as how AM can provide high integrity 3D printed components? This webinar will cover how 3D printing allied with AM enables complex shape components to be produced in a very short timescale. Rapid prototyping, manufacture of otherwise long-lead items such as forgings or castings and repair of in-service components are all possible in a timely and cost effective way. Our speakers are; Filomeno Martina, CEO, WAAM3D Limited - Large format metal 3D printing via an integrated Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing ecosystem. Marcello Consonni, Consultant Welding Engineer, TWI Ltd - AM in the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. Supriyo Ganguly, Professor in Welding and Additive Materials Science, Cranfield University - Research review on fatigue crack propagation of wire plus arc additive manufactured steel components under different service conditions. Flore Villaret, Research Engineer, EDF - Manufacturing and characterizing an industrial multi material WAAM demonstrator for hydropower energy applications. Mario C. Cordero-Cabrera, Director of Innovation, Welding Alloys Group - Fundamental principles in the design of cored-wire consumables for additive manufacturing. Stewart Williams, Centre Director, Cranfield University - Progress towards a new physics- based qualification approach for additively manufactured engineering structures. 🌐 To secure your place register here: https://lnkd.in/ejG6ek2V #AdditiveManufacturing #Components #Welding #Joinery | TWI

Additive Manufacture of High Integrity Components…   We are pleased to announce Supriyo Ganguly as a speaker at our upcoming TG2 Technical Group event, which will explore, ‘Additive Manufacture of High Integrity Components,’ on 24 October. He will be discussing ‘Research review on fatigue crack propagation of wire plus arc additive manufactured steel components under different service conditions’. Supriyo is a metallurgist, and currently his research interest focuses on understanding the integrity of structural and functional alloy deposits during metal additive manufacturing and welding. Welding, repair welding and additive manufacturing are the vital technologies being researched for sustainable manufacturing. However, the thermal energy deployed would result in creation of a dendritic microstructure with variably distributed residual stress field. Supriyo focuses on understanding the underpinning mechanism of microstructure and stress development during manufacturing of an alloy and how to mitigate them to improve integrity and performance under critical and complex service environment.   🌐 Discover more: https://lnkd.in/eTrCQPnk   #AdditiveManufacturing #Components #Welding #Joinery | TWI
