Nature is one of our best defences against flooding – and the numbers prove it! 🌿 A new report from The Wildlife Trusts and RSA Insurance (tagged), shows that every £1 invested in natural flood management (NFM) delivers £10 in benefits over 30 years. NFM means working with nature—restoring wetlands, creating ponds, rewilding rivers and welcoming beavers back to our landscapes. These solutions reduce flood risk, enhance wildlife, store carbon and improve well-being. With flooding costing the UK £2.2 billion annually—and that figure set to rise—it's time to scale up investment in nature-based solutions. More funding, data and support will ensure long-term, positive impacts for people and wildlife. Read more: https://lnkd.in/eeGQmK7N #NatureBasedSolutions
