The Broadstone Sirius Index - our monitor of how various pension scheme strategies are performing on their journeys to self-sufficiency - saw an improvement in defined benefit pension scheme funding in October, avoiding budget-related volatility.📈 The 50% hedged scheme which last month reached full funding on a self-sufficiency basis, is now in surplus, while the fully hedged scheme held its funding level with only a slight reduction. Christopher Rice, our Head of #TrusteeServices, spoke to Professional Pensions about what the latest funding index means for the DB scheme universe, and how trustees can respond to the emerging funding trends.
