Yesterday in Leeds we welcomed guests along to our latest seminar 'The changing face of city centres', sponsored by Bevan Brittan LLP. When Lori Hoinkes took the helm at Manchester Central a year ago, she brought with her a unique blend of engineering prowess and business acumen that’s set to transform the city’s premier events venue. With a career spanning military service in the Royal Canadian Airforce, manufacturing, and tech start-ups, Hoinkes has found what seems to be her true calling in the dynamic world of live events. As part of our regular interview series with law firm Fieldfisher she explained how her journey to Manchester came about, via Rotherham and London. “I immediately fell in love with Manchester,” Hoinkes recalls of her first visit to the city.
