🤔 How do community-led organisations improve the health and wellbeing of individuals in their communities? 🔎 What is it about the support they provide and the activities they offer that helps people achieve better health? These are the questions that the CommonHealth Assets project seeks to answer through the development of ‘programme theories’ which explain how community-led organisations improve health and wellbeing through their activities. The CommonHealth Assets Lived Experience Panel members have been sharing their experiences to inform these programme theories and have been thinking about ways to make them more accessible beyond reports and papers. In collaboration with Magic Torch Comics, we have co-created the comic ‘Our Voices – Community Impact in Action’ with our Panel using their experiences and individual stories of participating and volunteering at their local community-led organisations to bring these programme theories to life. We hope that the comic will be used to stimulate discussion around the life-changing work that community-led organisations do and will promote and showcase the support and activities that they provide.
