BUT what we discovered is that there isn’t one way of working, and there isn’t really a set approach for each person! This week’s TWISEO was a fascinating one. Did you know that the DOJ is considering breaking up Google to address its search monopoly, with the possibility of splitting off Chrome and Android? 😱 Other proposed measures include forcing Google to share its search and AI data with competitors. Last week, three members of our team attended Brighton SEO. They listened to some insightful talks and had an amazing time! One of these talks was from Hellen Benavides at brightonSEO which focused on the importance of empowerment in getting SEO tasks done! Here are some key points they took away from the talk: Creating an 'SEO Club' that involves members from other departments is a fantastic way to enhance the chances of SEO success. Invest in education and show different teams the value of optimising a website for organic listings by developing a proof of concept and sharing previous success stories. Set up short, regular hands-on sessions and get members of other departments using tools often used by SEOs (Google Trends, GA4, Google Search Console, Conductor, etc.) to drive engagement. Hellen shared an interesting success case that led to a +61% improvement in page load speed and an increase of 578 phone sales per month! This was achieved through a partnership with the product and UX teams, building on the foundation of the 'SEO Club'. #SEO #Education #Empowerment
