Meet Tom!    Tom joined his local B&M store, as a temporary seasonal Colleague back in 2015. During the festive period, he excelled in this role and became a permanent member of the team. He’s held various store positions; Replenishment Supervisor, Floor Supervisor, Floor Manager and Deputy Store Manager. Currently as a Store Manager, Tom approaches every day as a new challenge and embraces the fast-paced environment.   When asked about his journey, Tom shared, “I’ve seen lots of change and growth in my time at B&M. I’m most proud of leading, developing, and inspiring the teams I work with. Meet Jay!  Jay joined B&M in August 2023 as a Warehouse Operative and is now in a new role working with our Supply Chain Recruitment Team, developing new skills, networking, and exploring a different side of the business.   Jay’s favourite aspect about his new role is the people he works with, and the interactions he has with the entire warehouse. Jay loves meeting new people, introducing them to the business, and showing candidates what B&M has to offer.   Jay told us that he is ‘Proud to be supporting the local community! We’re excited to announce that our newest store has opened in Sudbury 📍   The store was officially opened by the Store Manager and local charity, Stourvalley Vineyard Foodbank. We’d like to thank them for coming down and for marking the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon cutting! ✂   The store has undergone an extensive internal and external refurbishment, including the addition of a new Garden Centre, so we’re sure our customers will have a fantastic shopping experience.   We wish Store Manager Caleb, Deputy Store Manager John, and the whole team all the best today and in the future! #newstore #localcharity  🟠 🔵

This week, we’re hosting our Pathway to Area Manager Programme at Support Centre in Speke. Aspiring future B&M leaders are given the opportunity to connect with the various teams, marking the beginning of new relationships which will help build the foundations of their success. Among the delegates are experienced Store Managers, from across the UK. The Pathway Development Programme is designed to inspire them to grow and unlock their full potential. Meet Nicola! Nicola joined B&M a few months ago, at the beginning of our busiest time of year. She embraced her Deputy Store Manager training which allowed her to deep dive into the world of B&M! When asked about her induction, Nicola said ‘The fast-paced environment at B&M is something that matches my work ethic. It is also very rewarding, as I can already see that my efforts have contributed to our store’s successful performance. With the ongoing support from my Colleagues, Managers and Area Manager, I am looking forward to my future with B&M!’ Nicola also told us what she enjoys most about her new role, ‘I love that I can develop my skills, and achieve goals alongside my colleagues, in an exciting environment. It creates a positive team culture where everyone wants to work hard.
