A big welcome to Lily Horsfield who is the newest member of our London broking team. She joins us as a graduate broker and was most recently at Arch Insurance.

We were delighted to be a sponsor at today's GTR US - Trade, working capital and supply chain conference. Ben Roberts, President of Texel Americas, was on the panel, 'Basel Endgame and Regulation Q: Levelling the playing field' which discussed the key aspects of Regulation Q requiring attention from an industry perspective, from definitions of eligible guarantees and guarantors and how these could lead to an explosion in the US trade credit insurance market, to the issue of risk weighted assets and the impact these regulations hold on pricing for corporate borrowers. It was great to be there alongside Sanjeev Ganjoo, Luigi L. De Ghenghi and Harp Mann and moderated by Scott Pales

Thanks to ExCred Americas for a great event. Shalini Sharan and Nicholas Rango from our New York office attended and joined some excellent panels discussing a range of topics from how the use and coverage of credit insurance is evolving, the changing role of multilaterals and DFIs in the Americas, and the impact that key geopolitical developments are having on trade, investment and insurance.

We are thrilled Nikol Bozadzhiyska has returned to Texel on a six month secondment as a junior broker. She previously interned with us and recently graduated from Warwick University with a degree in history and politics. It's great to welcome you back Nikol.

Texel Foundation was established in 2015 to extend opportunities and nurture potential. Since then, we're proud to have supported more than 100 charity partners across 24 countries. As we approach an important milestone in the Foundation's journey, we decided to create this reel, which highlights the what, why and how of Texel Foundation to date. Last week Ailsa McNeil and James Ely supported one of our Texel Foundation charity partners Spread a Smile, by taking a team to its charity golf day at Brocket Hall. 44 teams participated and an amazing £70,000 was raised! Thanks to Caroline Coulson, Kachi Nwokenna, Mat Rothwell, Gregory Collis, Chris Crane ACII and John Hony for joining us.

Today we say goodbye to Sheza Saleem, who has completed her six month Lloyd's placement with us. It has been an absolute pleasure having Sheza with us - she's a ray of positivity in the office and been a huge help on client accounts, supporting on some great new initiatives for us too. Thank you Sheza Saleem for all your hard work and we all wish you the best of luck with your new placement at Westfield Specialty (International)
