Today, on World Menopause Day, we’re raising awareness of the challenges that menopause can bring and why it’s crucial to support individuals going through this phase of life. For many, menopause can be a time of significant physical and mental changes - hot flashes, anxiety, mood swings, and disrupted sleep are just a few of the symptoms that can impact daily life, including at work. Menopause doesn’t have to be faced alone. By providing understanding, support, and promoting open conversations, we can break down the stigma and help people feel empowered to prioritise their mental health during menopause. At Thrive, we’re committed to offering mental health tools and support tailored to help employees manage challenges like stress and anxiety during menopause, creating a supportive workplace where everyone feels understood and valued. This World Mental Health Day, we're proud to announce we're joining forces with Thrive Mental Wellbeing to provide vital mental health support to former athletes living with sports-related brain injuries and their families. Our partnership arrives at a crucial time, as increasing numbers of athletes are being diagnosed with neurodegenerative conditions such as chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and early-onset dementia linked to repeated head injuries sustained during their careers in rugby and football. We are filling a critical gap in support for those navigating life after sports-related brain injuries by giving former players and their families round-the-clock access to Thrive's NHS-compliant mental health app, which provides early detection and preventative support for common mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Together, we can be part of the solution. 🧠 #BePartOfTheSolution #BrainHealthInSport #WMHD2024
