Take a listen Dr Daniel Jolles and Dr Grace Lordan's event "Is Diversity and Inclusion Bad for Business". Listen to the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/exHAxFBw
During LSE’s Festival last month, Dr Grace Lordan, Founding Director of the Inclusion Initiative and Associate Professor at LSE, hosted the session “Is diversity and inclusion bad for business?”. With a surge in popular voices stating that DEI is bad for business, and a reduction in investment in diversity and inclusion by some of the world’s largest firms, Dr Lordan outlines the logic behind these arguments. She also covers the conditions that cause diversity to be problematic for business growth. In contrast, Dr Lordan demonstrates the conditions that are needed to reap the rewards from diversity in business. 🎧 Listen to the podcast here: https://lnkd.in/exHAxFBw Dr Lordan leads on two programmes within LSE’s Executive Education and Online programmes: Inclusive Leadership Through Behavioural Science (8 weeks online certificate course) and the newly launched Creating Inclusive Organisations programme (1 week on campus on 24-28 February 2025). 📅 ➡️ Inclusive Leadership Through Behavioural Science (online): https://lnkd.in/eADTQkNc ➡️ Creating Inclusive Organisations (on campus): https://lnkd.in/eXq5HmnU #inclusiveleadership #DEI #leadershipcourse #executiveeducation #diversity #inclusion #equality #onlinecourse

Reflecting on the recent changes in government, we are reminded of our insightful event with Rt Hon Rachel Reeves, where she discussed "The Women Who Made Modern Economics" with Dr Grace Lordan. Rachel emphasised the importance of a proactive skills policy to ensure that future jobs can be filled within the UK rather than overseas. She believes that businesses must work with policymakers to equip our workforce with the necessary skills for tomorrow's jobs.
