Yesterday I joined an AMA (Ask Me Anything 😆) session about the LSE Digital Marketing Career Accelerator – the course I took last year. I would like to thank Shahana I. for being the most welcoming host. I realise I seriously need to work on my media skills and, yes, I cringe at my voice on the recording (don’t we all?). So not sharing a full video, but here are some FAQs by the prospective students and my short answers: 🔹 Who is this course for? Anyone looking to move into digital marketing, upskill in their current role, or build a solid understanding of the digital landscape. Our group had people from all kinds of industries and backgrounds - career changers, marketers, returners, and those just wanting to future-proof their skillset. 🔹 Does the course give you practical skills? Yes, definitely. It’s not just theory- you work on a real employer project, and the assignments are very hands-on. You’ll come out with a portfolio of projects, more confidence, and a better sense of how to apply digital tools in real scenarios. 🔹 How do you manage your time during the course? You are supported throughout, but you do need to dedicate your time to studying for an hour or two a day if you can, or commit to catching up on weekends. There’s a lot of material, so leaving it all to the last minute isn’t a great idea. Pacing yourself makes a huge difference. 🔹 What are the biggest advantages of the program? It’s a really well-rounded experience. You get a structured learning journey, career coaching and a chance to connect with people from across the globe. The real-life employer project is a chance to apply your skills, work in a team and experience what real-world marketing challenges look like Happy to chat if anyone is considering enrolling. #DigitalMarketing #CareerSwitch #LSE #MarketingCareer #DigitalMarketingCareerAccelerator #ProfessionalGrowth #Upskilling

  • 🔍 What does Spotify wrapped really reveal about you? Each year, Spotify Wrapped transforms listening habits into shareable data stories. But beyond the fun graphics, what do these algorithmic events actually tell us about how platforms track and categorise users? In their research, Nina Vindum Rasmussen (The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)) and Taylor Annabell (Utrecht University) explore how Spotify Wrapped shapes self-perception and how users critically engage with the data-driven narratives constructed by streaming platforms. Through creative workshops, they uncover how people both celebrate and challenge the way platforms quantify personal behaviour. 🎵 Does Wrapped reflect your true listening habits—or just what the algorithm thinks you should be?
