At Titan Airways, we are immensely proud of our team, and today we'd like to take a moment to recognise one of our exceptional engineers, Alex, who has truly gone above and beyond.   In addition to his role with us at Titan, Alex serves as an on-call firefighter in Great Dunmow. Last month, he was awarded the Chief Fire Officer's Commendation, a rare and prestigious honour that highlights extraordinary actions in the field.   Last September, Alex was part of the first response crew to a critical aircraft incident at Andrewsfield airfield, where an 81-year-old male was trapped in the wreckage. Drawing on his expertise as an aircraft engineer, Alex played a vital role in safely managing the situation, expediting the rescue, and providing essential technical assistance to ensure both the safety of the crew and the aircraft.   His quick thinking and specialised knowledge undoubtedly made a life-saving difference that day. This remarkable event underscores the incredible value that on-call firefighters like Alex bring to their communities — their skills and experiences in other roles enrich the firefighting service and, in Alex's case, provide an extraordinary outcome.   We are proud to have Alex as part of the Titan Airways family. A fantastic day for the Titan team! 🎉   Earlier this week, we had the honour of being presented with the King's Award for Enterprise. The event was hosted in our newly acquired headquarters with members of our Titan team, representatives from the Council, including Chairman of Essex County Council Jill Reeves, Chairman of Uttlesford District Council Martin Foley, and Deputy Lieutenant Keith Attwood.   We marked the occasion reflecting on the hard work that led to this recognition.
