We have transformed over 3,000 square metres of the Podium area at the new Coronation Square development in Leyton. This vibrant oasis features a blend of hard and soft landscaping, creating an inviting atmosphere for residents and guests. At the heart of the Podium, over fifty magnificent trees and lush greenery frame communal walkways and private terraces enhanced by our striking Midnight and Barley Butter resin pathways guiding residents and visitors through this enchanting space. Highlights include a bespoke timber pergola and two charming timber arbours, all crafted from certified African Iroko. There are also colourful play areas, and a secure nursery play area complete with a sandpit. This thoughtfully designed outdoor space is perfect for relaxation and play and we are excited to play a part in its heritage. TP Surfacing & Coatings recently upgraded the wooden stair treads and landings at a social housing block in Fisherman Hill, Gravesend, Kent on behalf of our client Axis Europe. As an approved Contar Resins installer, we used the Contar Dekor System, designed for stairwells and walkways, which cures quickly for a durable, slip-resistant finish. This project included sanding down treads, installing DDA-approved aluminum nosings, and coating the landings with the decorative quartz flake system. Backed by a 10-year guarantee, regular inspections, and maintenance support, this upgrade enhances resident safety by adding extra grip underfoot, while the stair nosings help protect stair edges from wear and offer slip-resistant properties, reducing the risk of accidents. TP Surfacing & Coatings were selected to undertake the required Resin Bonded Gravel surfacing to this large pedestrian walkway area adjacent to Wembley Stadium at the end of 2013. 2269m² of Addagrip’s Addastone product in x2 differing colours was the chosen specification. The Addastone system used 1-3mm Chinese Bauxite aggregates in Buff coloured resin, incorporating a geometric grey pattern composed of 1-3mm Guyanan Bauxite in Grey resin. To make the pattern, our installation team created the perimeters by ‘saw-cutting’ and carefully applying the resin by paint brush as required to adjoin the colours. It was vital that the newly surfaced area was ready to allow access on the opening date of the then, new shopping centre next to the stadium. As such, the need to operate effectively within a location constantly used by other trades was the biggest challenge. Employee Spotlight - Grace Watts Over the last 2 years, Grace has proven herself to be a valuable member of the Passive Fire Safety Team. Her previous experience in retail and customer service has equipped her with a range of transferable skills which have been put to great use as a member of the Fire Admin Team. Day-to-day duties comprise of a range of tasks vital to the operation of the Passive Fire Safety Division, these have included sourcing and procurement of specialist materials, management and hire of plant and equipment, production of handover and O&M documents and personnel management to list a few! Building upon her achievements of the past 2 years, Grace is continuing to develop her skills and knowledge in the field of Passive Fire Protection and we are pleased to announce that Grace is transitioning over to the Survey Division into a new role as Passive Fire Survey Coordinator.
