Should tenants keep their last two months’ rent if they’re evicted through no fault of their own? We recently took part in a Welsh Government workshop to discuss this proposed recommendation from a recent report, This recommendation has been met with mixed responses from the sector. To hear the full reaction, and what tenants in Wales are saying, read our latest blog post: https://lnkd.in/eavzqMqb #PolicyUpdate #NoFaultEvictions #WelshHousing #PRS #PrivateRentalSector #HousingPolicy #LocalHousingAndGovernment #WelshGovernment #Senedd

Today, we had the opportunity to present and share tenant perspectives on heat pumps at a shared learning event, where development leads from Local Authorities came together to exchange insights. A big thank you to Shan Williams and robin staines from Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government for inviting TPAS Cymru to be part of this important conversation. It was also great to hear from Dr Matthew Aylott and Brendon Burd from Powys County Council, who highlighted the challenges around green skills. Without empowering people with the right knowledge and training, we risk leaving tenants behind in this transition. #NetZero #SocialHousing #Decarb #SeroNet #NetZero2050 #TenantVoice #TenantEngagement #GreenSkills Akshita Lakhiwal
