Last month, we visited the La Bougie factory in Kinsale, Ireland, where we captured some incredible behind-the-scenes content showcasing the daily operations of the brand. For us, the trip was very insightful and allowed us to gain a deeper understanding of their brand beyond our laptop screens. By catching up with La Bougie’s founder, Lucy Hagerty, we discovered more about the story and inspiration behind La Bougie. Having this knowledge is a key component to all our brand partnerships as it ensures our agency is fully immersed in the brand and helps us to nail the correct brand voice when copywriting. Her passion for fragrance led her to spend seven years mastering the art of perfumery and candle-making. There’s a GOLDMINE between your legs 💰💰 But when it comes to female health, the UK isn’t treating it that way. Right now, the UK has the BIGGEST Gender Health Gap in the entire G20 and ranks 12th globally. Women’s health issues, such as endometriosis, PCOS, heavy periods and menopause, are consistently underfunded, understudied, and ignored. Women are often judged, dismissed and left struggling at home and in the workplace, and the gap is costing careers, the economy and lives. We refuse to sit back and let this happen. That’s why this #IWD we’re taking action to CLOSE THE GAP‼️ We’re partnering with Daisy Network, a charity dedicated to supporting women affected by Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI), a condition that causes menopause before 40 and is too often misdiagnosed or overlooked. POI can be confusing, upsetting and isolating. Daisy Network’s volunteers provide support to diagnosed women, and their families. We’re using our platforms, social expertise and shared experiences to raise awareness and spread the message that the UK simply ISN’T doing enough to support women with health conditions such as POI.
