The best ad I've seen this week Is for a "boring" insurance business. I nearly fell off my bike when I saw this. How could an insurance business be this engaging? It all makes sense when you learn Uncommon Creative Studio do their ads. Out of home now reaches more adults a week than TV. The opportunity to grow brands and reach new audiences is huge. This means the creative has to be broadly interesting to draw all that potential attention. The best way to do that is to entertain. Couldn't think of a better example than this. It's even a brilliant case of "show don't tell". This ad could have been so boring but Hiscox chose to put on a show. Sure. Everyone zooming past this won't get it in 2sec, but those that do are in for a treat. What do you think? Just shows how creative you can get in #OOH. I've done plenty research with JCDecaux showing 7 out of 10 posters don't really work. I have a feeling we are entering a golden age of OOH creativity.
