Time and again, the impact of our cycle and menstrual wellness is underestimated. Not "just" if you have a chronic condition, such as endometriosis, PMDD, or PCOS, which each individually impact an estimated 10% of women. But also each and every person with a menstrual cycle. If our hormones are out of whack, if our PMS (impacts 70-95% of menstruating women) is severe one month, if we're not getting our period, it all impacts our mental health. Big time!! And vice-versa: if we've been struggling with our mental health, it so often also impacts our cycle and menstrual health. Happy World Mental Health Day! Looking towards fertility and menopause and feeling a bit overwhelmed? Just like our menstrual cycles, we weren't taught much about fertility and menopause at school. And so they can feel ominous and overwhelming. On top of that, society gives us a timeline that we should abide by. By informing ourselves, we can break these taboos and feel empowered. 🩸 Knowledge is Power 🩸 Quote from our most recent podcast episode about egg-freezing 👇
