📢 INDUSTRY NEWS: The UK's Plastic Packaging Tax (#PPT) has revealed a mixed landscape in the fight against plastic waste. Recent figures show that 42% of plastic packaging did not meet the required 30% recycled content and therefore was taxed. On a brighter note, 46% of the plastic packaging did surpass this threshold, indicating a shift towards more sustainable practices ✅. Our CEO, Steve Gough acknowledges the progress but emphasises the need for continued efforts. With £268 million in tax receipts and over 4,600 businesses registered under the PPT, it's evident that the journey towards circularity 🔄 is underway but far from complete.
