Mortgage innovation opportunity - Power-up the renovators 🔨 Remortgaging for a renovation provides an opportunity for you to strengthen relationships with customers and remind them why they’re with you. Providing a great remortgage experience, or offering options for renovations that push the boundaries of what’s on offer currently, can help you retain customers. For new home buyers, you can look at ways to support them with their first fixer-upper. To consider:  ❓Once home ownership is achieved, how can you help buyers unlock new value in their home with cash boosters to get that new kitchen or undertake the grand renovation?  ❓How could you tailor mortgage processes for new-buyers looking to get straight into DIY and renovation? Get the full breakdown of all the opportunity areas in our guide, get your copy by commenting ‘mortgage’ down below.

Mortgage innovation opportunity - Capture buyers with alternative finances 💷 If lenders adapted their process to cater to buyers with portfolio careers and diverse investments, they may reach an untapped zone of the market, while providing an empowering experience for buyers who were previously shunned or forced through endless red-tape. To consider:  ❓What is the biting point between offering a mortgage loan that’s safe and secure for the company, but also fits diverse lifestyles and habits?  ❓How could you adapt your processes to simultaneously educate and engage these customers so they’re better prepared when they do want to buy their first home? Get the full breakdown of all the opportunity areas in our guide, get your copy by commenting ‘mortgage’ down below.

It's always good to get out and about for some creative inspiration! 🎨 Down below Mor, one of our Senior Designers, sums up her day exploring some of the exhibits at the London Design Festival. What do you do when you're looking for a fresh perspective or new ideas? 💡

Senior Designer at &us | Associate lecturer at UAL

On Friday, our design team at &us - Ben Serbutt, Fiona Tout, Josh Baddiley, and I - spent the day exploring the design festival exhibits around Shoreditch. We started with the ‘Weird and Wonderful Things from Around the World’ by the Travel Things Museum, which got us thinking about the value of everyday objects and how they can inspire the spaces we work and live in. It was such a great reminder to look at familiar things in new ways. Next up was ‘Oyster[Crete] by Matter Forms, where they’re turning discarded oyster shells into beautiful, sustainable design materials. Seeing these unexpected materials used in new ways made us rethink what’s possible, especially in our own work around life-centered design - thinking about how what we create impacts humans, non-humans, and the environment. Taking a break from our usual workspace was a breath of fresh air. We got to see what other designers and artists are up to, which is so important in staying connected to what’s happening out there. Plus, just hanging out together, exploring, laughing, and yes, eating ice cream, reminded us that sometimes the best ideas come when you’re not working at all. So here’s your reminder: get out, get inspired, eat ice cream, and embrace the creative energy that comes from sharing new experiences with your team.
