Thanks Askable for hosting myself and Oren Kravetz for a discussion about scaling research on Tuesday. If you didn't catch it, you can watch the recording, but as a little summary our advice is: - have a flexible toolkit of research options so you can adapt to time and budget constraints - clear, shared research objectives will keep you on track, even if you have a big or wide spread global research team - remote interviews are amazing for diversifying the customer base you speak to, but also don't forget about 'in situ' research where you go out there and meet customers in the wild! For us that's been in stores and at motorway service stations! - diversity of skillsets in your research team will allow you to spot the widest variety of insights, so not just UX peeps, but strategy, UI, client services etc - experiment with and embrace new research tools powered by AI, its exciting but we need to find the right balance between human and 'robot' run research Take a watch here if you'd like to hear more... https://lnkd.in/eQj4P6CT #uxresearch #ux #research

It was an absolute pleasure to accompany my good pal and colleague Chris Hobbs in attending the BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) roundtable hosted by our good friends and partners Acquia / Monsido, powered by Acquia yesterday to discuss all things accessibility as we come to crunch time with the legislation changing in June 2025. With great talks from Kirsty Sharp and Lars Holm Sørensen, and with the ever delightful Garry Levitt also in attendance, it was great to get real insight in to the problems people face today when trying to access websites and digital platforms. We as an industry of practitioners have an obligation to do more and to ensure that our clients, suppliers and partners are aware of the challenges so many people face when accessing the world of digital products. Over at Bernadette we have accessibility baked in to the core of our practice, and we're working with a number of our clients to ensure that on the 28th June 2025 they'll be ready for the change in legislation. (It was also great to see so many familiar faces - Jack Clough, Alex Ringhofer, Matt Sullivan and Zhenya Thornhill in particular 🙌🏻)
