World Mental Health Day is celebrated every 10th October and this year’s theme, set by the World Federation of mental Health is workplace mental health. 💻🧠 Many of the events you may work at can be unpredictable and tricky to plan, setting aside time for a wellbeing check in activity. That being said, let’s jump straight into some things that you can do to better your mental health in the workplace, whatever workplace that may be. 🙌 🎁 Secret Santa Wellbeing - Exchanging small gifts to enhance wellbeing. You can play this with a team you work with regularly or the colleagues you call friends. It doesn’t have to be Christmas to give someone a ‘positive potato’. 🥝 Wellbeing Breakfast - Before your next shift, you could plan to meet the rest of your team at a Pret a Manger, for a healthy breakfast/lunch, fresh fruit, granola, chia pots. 🍹 Post work mocktails - Another great time to connect with your work friends, offering praise and congratulate each other on each other’s strengths over a healthy ginger citrus mocktail. 👁️ Practice 'present moment' moments - During your break count 5 things you can see, 5 things you can hear, and 5 things you can touch. Helen Hanson and Clare Brind, and it’s been a BIG year… - 412 Elevators joined us this year - That’s 206 different mentor/mentee pairs - 7 different countries: USA, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Philippines and Nigeria - 241 different businesses - 210 different job titles - 51 returning mentors - 155 new mentors - 179 new mentees - 334 new Elevaters this year in total - 2,838 combined years of mentor experience!
