    CEO Forensic Pathways Ltd

Early start this morning to attend The Cyber Resilience Centre for West Midlands network breakfast held at West Midlands Police Museum, Steelhouse Lane! Great to see so many familiar faces Anitha Chinnaswamy, Michelle Ohren, Ruby Bansal and so many new faces. It's essential to keep up to speed with what's available, new innovations, new companies coming into the region. As CEO of Forensic Pathways and particularly in my role of national Scale Up Director for Innovate UK, I know how important it is for companies to be engaged in understanding the impact cyber has on their day to day and make the awareness journey as simple and as relevant to them as possible. The location of the event this morning was also quite profound personally for me. In 1980 I was working as a PA to a solicitor in Corporation Street. Many times I found myself in Steelhouse Lane/Court lock up to interview a client with my boss. It was also the first time I met my husband-to-be in his police uniform coming out of Steelhouse Lane Police Station. Little did we know back in 1980 that he'd go on to work on the development of the National DNA Database, invent a technology called FLINTS, Forensic Lead Intelligence System, gain a PhD, and an MBE, and that I would go on to invent the worlds transparent Stepping Plate for the global forensic market which led to me starting Forensic Pathways in 2001, into which my husband Dr Richard Leary joined approximately 5 years later along with our son Ben Leary, MBA. Sadly we lost Richard back in 2015, but the family vibe remains. As ever, it's never just about zeros and one's - it's always about stories and the people that create them. Great event! Thanks to all the team The Cyber Resilience Centre for West Midlands #people #behaviours #cyber #resilience #business #darkweb #OSINT #storytelling #brum #birmingham

  • In this edition of 'Diary of a Heritage Manager', Corinne reflects on the formation of the Museum. Starting with DS Charlie Elworthy and the Birmingham Police Museum at Tally Ho! to Sparkhill Station with PC Dave Cross, the Museum has had quite the transformation since 1964. I highly recommend everyone participate in at least one Murder Mystery event while networking. I might have gone a bit overboard on Friday night, crafting a scenario straight out of Line of Duty, but it was a fantastic and refreshing alternative to traditional networking. 😀 West Midlands Police Museum Henrik Court #b2b #networking #murdermystery #birminghambusiness #birminghamevents

Events news…..   There are just four weeks remaining until my first Murder Mystery Night takes place..... Who did it?   How did it happen?   What was the motive?   In all the years of organising events, I have always wanted to organise an immersive ‘Murder Mystery Night’.   I was fortunate to be invited to one a few months back and I had a really fun evening. The team I was in, correctly identified the murderer and that was the start of my quest to organise a similar night.   The event will take place at the West Midlands Police Museum - The Victorian Lock-Up which was operational until 2016, before it became a museum). It promises to be an entertaining evening. Please see: https://bit.ly/2BW9Bma You can come on your own, bring your partner, members of your family, or friends, or have a team night out with your work colleagues. This is not a business event - more of a fun night out event. Teams of four will be created on the night or you can come as a ready made team. This is your opportunity to become a detective for a night.   Set in the year of 1985, this is a 1980's-inspired murder mystery night. There's been a murder and I need your help to conduct the investigation. You will need to look at the evidence, follow the clues and interrogate the suspects in their cells as you attempt to get to the bottom of what happened. You must try and work out who, what, how, and perhaps most chillingly of all why the murder occured.   Places are limited, so early booking is advised - the event is taking place from 6pm for a 6.30pm start on Friday, 7 June.   Please feel free to share this post with your connections. #events #murdermystery #birmingham #henrikdoesevents Photograph: Behind bars with Corinne Brazier at the Victorian Lock-Up (West Midlands Police Museum).
