This is an event we are certainly looking forward to! 👇 HOMES UK (27-28 November, 2024, at ExCeL, London) is being billed as the largest free-to-attend conference and exhibition of its kind. It's something not to be missed! This year will see over 4,500 housing sector professionals come together to better understand the opportunities and pathways to increasing affordable housing supply, improve the quality and sustainability of existing homes, and make a positive impact on communities and society at large. And Westdale will be there exhibiting and getting involved in the #energyefficiency, #carbonreduction and #netzero conversation from our stand at H400. Stop for a chat if you are attending! Delivering a whole-house solution can have a transformative effect on someone's home. And not only in how it looks. As well as being aesthetically pleasing, an innovative approach to improving properties, and committing to a community benefits legacy, can bring: · Lower bills · Enhances energy efficiency · Reduces outside noise · Improving the thermal comfort of your home · Sustainability · Reducing your carbon footprint The end result? Something that the resident can be proud of. A home that is as inviting, functional and energy efficient as it is pleasing to look at. A bit like the non-traditional constructed houses that were regenerated by Westdale Midlands in the Y Fali area of Anglesey (please see video).

The United Nations has marked the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty by issuing a plea for help from all sectors of society. 767 million people across the globe are still living in extreme poverty, and the UN is keen for assistance in lifting as many as possible above the international poverty line. In our small way, Westdale Midlands are always looking to help others in need. For example, thanks to our caring staff, suppliers, sub-contractors and operatives, we have raised around £2,500 which has given us the opportunity to purchase thousands of meals for those unfortunate people who cannot afford such essentials. Another aspect of poverty that is close to our hearts at Westdale Midlands is fuel poverty. And everyone in our organisation is committed to tackling fuel poverty wherever we find it, by providing better home insulation and other key efficiency solutions. There needs to be a strong, positive and ongoing emphasis on enhancing energy efficiency in homes and buildings – and exploring fit-for-purpose microgeneration systems. Transformative change that protects and boosts the welfare and wellbeing of a resident, and helps kicks poverty in touch! #EndPoverty #InternationalDayfortheEradicationofPoverty

World Mental Health Day 2024. It's today folks. "It is time to prioritise mental health in the workplace“. That's the theme for 2024. Raising awareness of poor mental health and the risk of burnout at work. But wherever the mental health battle is being fought, at work, at home, try and get help if you can. We all need support. And, despite what you may think, there is always someone willing to lend a helping hand. Look after yourself. Look after each other. #WorldMentalHealthDay Mind

What was previously known as the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Wave 3 (SHDF) has ‘reached land’. It is now being called the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund, and will officially commence today (Monday, September 30). It is an important element in helping bring the country's properties up to the required energy efficient levels - and here at Westdale Midlands we are delighted that the aims of the newly-branded Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund mirror our own...

A whole-house approach has to be the way forward in order to meet the needs (and wellbeing) of the UK population. Alongside our award-winning #fabricfirst measures, we have rightly brought #renewables to the forefront of our service offering. While retaining the importance of fabric as a central and critical thread in our whole-house approach, we believe that by delivering cutting-edge technology, in the form of heat pumps and solar PV, the UK's homes, and its people, can enjoy key energy-saving and carbon-reducing benefits, therefore boosting the government's drive towards Net Zero. Westdale Midlands: here to serve the UK's communities. #netzero #wholehouseapproach #heatpumps #retrofit #energysaving
