We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Technical Lead to join our dedicated team! The Technical Lead will be driven by protecting brand and business reputation through engagement in our Integrated Management System. The successful candidate will understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. The role involves devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes and setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and experience: · Thorough & observant with an eye for detail · Excellent knowledge of the end to end production process · In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards · Confident in use of IT · Statistical analysis · Degree educated · Ideally experience of designing remediation plans to address manufacturing and process quality issues · Ideally a formal Quality Management qualification such as ASQ, CQI This is a permanent position, Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm. A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Hospitality Team as Scrumpy House Restaurant Assistant Manager. This role will involve supporting the Hospitality Manager with the day-to-day operations of the Scrumpy House Restaurant, including the delivery of catering and refreshments of breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as undertaking functions and special events such as private parties and corporate hospitality. The successful candidate will be working as part of an experienced team who are responsible for great customer experience at Westons. Skills/experience needed: - Previous experience of successfully managing or assistant managing a busy restaurant. - Cash management experience. - Stock management experience. - Willingness to support the small team in all areas of restaurant operation, including cooking, kitchen cleaning and service. - Excellent customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work well under pressure, whilst still providing a great customer experience. - Ability to multitask and prioritise workload. - Able to work well as part of a team. Westons Cider are currently recruiting for an Engineer to join the business. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate and manage electrical and mechanical maintenance for production lines and site areas ensuring Safety and Quality Standards are maintained and strengthened where possible. You will also be responsible for fault finding, diagnostics and planned maintenance. As well as contributing to a way of thinking that continuously promotes practices to reduce costs and losses whilst improving efficiency of work. The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience: Demonstrable experience in electrical & mechanical engineering; Trained in electrical and/or mechanical engineering (minimum level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification); Good understanding of working with production equipment and PLCs; Effective communication skills and a team player; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; High attention to detail; Previous experience within the FMCG industry would also be advantageous. This is a permanent position involving a shift working pattern as follows: 6.00 – 14.30, 14.00 – 22.30 Monday – Friday, 22.00 – 06.30 Sunday – Thursday, rotating. We are currently seeking to recruit a Chef/Cook to join our fantastic Scrumpy House Restaurant which serves a mouth-watering menu of delicious, locally sourced food. The successful candidate will work alongside the Hospitality Team and will provide food preparation and catering for the Scrumpy House Restaurant. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinners as well as catering for functions and special events such as private parties, corporate hospitality and staff long service/retirement lunches. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills/experience: Previous experience of working in a commercial kitchen environment. City & Guilds 7061/2 or equivalent NVQ. Food Handlers Certificate – Level 2 or above. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Able to work under own initiative as well as working within a team. Ability to work well under pressure. Personal Licence is advantageous. This is a full time, permanent position, predominantly straight day shifts between the hours of 9am - 5pm. With 1 - 2 evenings per week depending on cover, (usually Thursday and Saturday's) between the hours of 5pm - 10pm and will include some weekends.
