10 reasons we're sticking to hybrid working... Some companies are making a permanent return to the office - here’s why we’re staying flexible at our HQ (sadly it’s not very practical for our shop and distribution centre teams): 1. We trust teams to make the right decisions about how to spend their time 2. It seems to work pretty well… In fact, we’ve never been more efficient or creative 3. One size doesn’t fit all - some need more time to focus with headphones in at home, while others need to be designing clothes together in-person 4. We love the collaboration that comes from face-to-face conversations in our office 5. … and we’re all a bit more blue-sky-thinking and glass-half-full when we don’t see our (very lovely and talented) colleagues more than our partner, kids, etc 6. Nothing beats being able to be close to your family 7. Travelling less to the office saves time, money and CO2 8. Tube and train strikes (enough said really) 9. We’re a dog-friendly office, so you can have the best of both worlds (unless you’re a cat person) 10. It’s what most people say they want… both current HQ employees and prospective candidates keep telling us they really, really value flexibility We say fair enough. So flexible working is here to stay.

We are thrilled to announce the next phase for our business: White Stuff is welcoming new owners, TFG Brands London.   Over the past few years, we’ve undergone a significant transformation while staying true to the core values that define our brand. This process hasn’t been quick or easy - it’s the result of the dedication and hard work of every single one of our employees. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.   Now, with TFG London as our new partner, we’re ready to embark on the next phase of our growth. With their expertise and support, we’ll continue to expand our presence both in the UK and internationally, all the while delivering the distinctive products that our customers love.   Today’s announcement also means that our founders, George and Sean, who started White Stuff almost 40 years ago, will be leaving the business. Without their vision and commitment, none of this would have been possible. Thank you, George and Sean.   And of course, a huge thank you to our community of customers – some of whom have been with us since the very beginning – and to all our suppliers for their support.   Our CEO, Jo Jenkins, and the leadership team will continue to lead White Stuff and deliver our strategy.   It’s a big day for our us all and we’re excited for what’s to come.

    CEO at White Stuff

Today we have some pretty big news to share – we are saying hello to TFG Brands London as the new owners of White Stuff. This is a very exciting moment for everyone at White Stuff. It represents the natural next step for us to fuel our growth plans, following a period of significant transformation. When I joined White Stuff back in 2018, the business looked very different than it does today. We’ve always had the right fundamentals and core values – independence, individuality, and quality – but we’ve been able to truly bring these to the fore in recent years. We’ve introduced new customers to our brand across more channels, retained our loyal shoppers, expanded in the UK and internationally, continued to evolve our product, and have completely overhauled our brand to modernise it and appeal to more customers. None of this would be possible without our fantastic team in our stores, DC and HQ. Their hard work has made White Stuff the business it is today and helped set us up for a very exciting future. We will continue to execute our strategy, delivering unique, thoughtfully designed clothes and great experiences for our customers across all our channels, with the support of TFG London – who are experts in growing premium retail brands. This news also means that our founders, George and Sean, will be handing over the baton after almost 40 years. We’ve come a very long way from the slopes of the French Alps, and I would like to say a huge thank you to both for their immense commitment and guidance. Finally, to our White Stuff customers - whether you’ve shopped with us for decades or bought your first Nelly tee just yesterday – thank you for being a part of our community. There is so much opportunity for White Stuff and so much to look forward to.

We've got a birthday coming up next year. The big 4-0. (Time flies!) Earlier this year, we asked our customers if there's any pieces they thought we should bring back from our archives. Since then, we've been busy working on recreating some old favourites. Watch this space for exciting things coming next year.

You may have seen our Street style content, where we go out and about to find interesting people and see how they style White Stuff. Recently, we photographed a selection of people (including a few colleagues) around Oval in London, to see how they’d style our Menswear collection. We think they look fab, if we do say so ourselves. Re-introducing: Wendy. She was one of the original 2,000 applicants for our first customers-turned-models shoot, Introducing. As part of our continued commitment to using our customers in our advertising, we invited her back to take part in our autumn campaign. Wendy was thrilled to be invited back, having seen how much the first campaign resonated with people. “Using real women, I think that really struck a chord with lots of people. And I was pleased. Proud to be a part of that. I think it’s so important”. Read more about Wendy’s story here: https://lnkd.in/e4hTPZE6

We’re proud to be the UK's biggest fashion retailer of Fairtrade Sourced Cotton. To mark The Fairtrade Foundation’s 30th anniversary, we wanted to share a little more about what our partnership means.   The Fairtrade Standards mean farmers earn at least the Fairtrade Minimum Price for their crop (to protect against market fluctuations). They also earn the Fairtrade Premium - additional funds that farmers’ cooperatives spend on things like schools for their children, better irrigation systems, better access to doctors and better quality seeds.   We’re proud of our commitment to source Fairtrade Sourced Cotton for a range of our products, supporting people at the beginning of the supply chain. Which is so important to us.   Read more about our Fairtrade partnership here: https://lnkd.in/er8DrvP8

NEW CAMPAIGN: WHAT ON EARTH This autumn, we’re going outdoors. Reconnecting with the ancient landscape in chunky knits. Back to the earth in natural fibres like organic cotton and responsibly-sourced wool. Our new campaign features Boss Morris, a community of dancers, musicians and creatives, who dance Cotswold morris and choreograph their own reinventions of the form. The campaign was shot in Avebury Henge, the largest stone circle in Britain, as well as in Stroud, the home of Boss Morris. See our latest Lookbook for more: https://lnkd.in/erTMvH4c
