Thank you to Tudor Roofing Specialists for sharing these fantastic photos of a recent project completed for KENTS Construction & Development in Bruntwood, Essex. The site features four properties along with two detached garages. The team used our Sandtoft Humber clay tiles for the roofing, which includes cement-pointed verges and a dry ridge system. The finished result looks very impressive. Well done, Team! 👏 #Roofing #RoofingContractors #wienerbergerUK

Are you feeling uncertain about which colour brick to choose for your project? 🤔 The colour of bricks significantly affects the overall appearance and feel of a building. Facing bricks are available in a wide range of colours, from warm, rich reds to bold blacks and striking whites. The hue of clay bricks is influenced by the chemical and mineral content of the raw materials, as well as the firing temperature and atmosphere in the kiln. These factors contribute to the variety of clay brick colours available. Since clay bricks are a natural product, colours may vary slightly between production runs. To achieve a balanced colour scheme, especially with multicoloured products, mixing bricks from at least three different packs is recommended. This practice helps prevent “colour banding” in the finished brickwork. Utilising different colours and textures of bricks can create stunning facades. However, it’s important to note that various brick types may have different dimensional tolerances. If you’re blending imported bricks with UK-made bricks, you should also consider potential size differences. By working closely with us, we can assist you in selecting the right bricks and designing your project effectively. #Bricks #Brickwork #ArchitectureDesign #wienerbergerUK

As part of our partnership with the leading homelessness charity Emmaus UK, we support their Companion Training and Wellbeing Fund, which empowers individuals to access learning and training for future employment opportunities. Today, we would like to highlight Dave's story. Dave is a member of the Emmaus Hull & East Riding community and recently received funding from the Companion Training and Wellbeing Fund. He used this funding to purchase essential tools for his future career in plumbing. Currently, Dave volunteers three days a week at a local plumbing company, where he has been offered a job once he is ready for independent living. Dave expressed his gratitude, saying, “I would like to thank Emmaus UK for the funding that allowed me to buy new tools. This funding has given me the opportunity to return to the career I’m passionate about: plumbing and heating. With these tools, I’ve not only secured employment but also made my job much more efficient and enjoyable.” We look forward to sharing more stories and insights from our partnership with Emmaus UK soon. What is a solar battery, and why is it an integral part of your solar system? 🤔 A solar battery stores the excess electricity generated by solar panels, or it can store electricity directly drawn from the grid. This stored energy can be used to power your property during times when solar panels aren’t producing enough electricity, such as at night, on cloudy days, or during power outages. Additionally, it can help reduce energy costs by utilising stored energy during peak demand times when electricity rates are higher. 💡 #SolarRoof #Roofing #SolarEnergy #wienerbergerUK

This Brew Monday, we join the mental health charity Samaritans in busting the Blue Monday myth and encouraging everyone to take a moment to enjoy a cuppa and have a catch-up with the people you care about. There are two things we know for certain: Brits love a good brew, and they enjoy a good debate. It's no surprise that some of the longest-standing discussions revolve around a cup of tea. Let’s not forget one of Britain’s all-time favourite staples: tea and toast. Should the milk go in the cup first or last? Should you leave the tea bag in or take it out? And most importantly, what makes the perfect cup of tea? With your help, we hope to find the perfect tea and toast combination! Which brew & toast are you? ☕ 🍞 #BrewMonday #MentalHealth #MentalHealthInConstruction #wienerbergerUK

Are you familiar with all the components necessary for solar roofs? ☀️ One important component that you may not be aware of is the inverter. What is an inverter? An inverter is a crucial piece of equipment in a solar energy system. It converts Direct Current (DC) electricity, generated by the solar panels, into Alternating Current (AC) electricity. This AC electricity can then be used to power electrical appliances and can also be fed into the electrical grid. 🔌 #SolarRoof #Roofing #SolarEnergy #wienerbergerUK
