Bringing new perspectives & fresh ideas to natural history through lateral thinking & open-mindedness.
About us
Wildstar was founded on the belief that nature is constantly evolving and our job is to keep up. To do this, we bring fresh thinking, new perspectives and greater diversity to natural history, approaching each new challenge with an open mind and a flexible attitude. We want to surprise and entertain, drawing attention to our planet’s greatest issues without preaching or lecturing. We pull in Hollywood stars in front of the camera and top-level talent behind it, assembling diverse teams made up of people at the top of their games. Our inspiration comes from unexpected places, be that movies, music, social media or gaming, and we harness the very latest technology to make our work as dynamic as possible. We respect nature and constantly seek to be more sustainable, but we also respect people, transferring skills to the countries in which we film, creating collaborations at home and nurturing new talent. Our standards for quality and impact are measured not against other natural history producers but against any other media on the planet. We love what we do, and we want that to shine from everything that Wildstar creates. Because we love the world and everything in it. Apart from wasps.

Ahead of International Women’s Day, today Wildstar hosted an inspiring in-house Q&A panel discussion featuring some of the incredible women behind our productions. 💪💚 Executive Producer Chloe Sarosh, Series Producer Hannah Gibson, and Staff Writer Polly Billam shared their experiences, challenges, and insights as women working in natural history TV. The panel was led by Katie Grant, Production Coordinator, sparking thought-provoking discussions on representation, breaking barriers, and navigating the industry. 🌿🎥✨ A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the talent, resilience, and passion of women in Wildstar! Let’s keep the conversation going. 💬✨ #InternationalWomensDay #IWD #IAccelerateAction #WomenInTV #NaturalHistory #WomenInFilm #IWD2025

We’re excited to announce Amol Goes to the Ganges (w/t), a new one-hour documentary for BBC1 and iPlayer that follows journalist and presenter Amol Rajan at the biggest religious gathering on Earth – the Maha Kumbh Mela Festival in Northern India. The festival, which takes place every 12 years, is the largest in human history due to a special alignment of the planets in the solar system, which last occurred 144 years ago. Amol joins over 500 million pilgrims from all over the globe who come together for this once in a lifetime event. Huge thanks to our Indian fixers, Bright Tiger Films, for all their assistance in making this show possible. https://lnkd.in/enMyj4Fh

Congratulations to the Queens team for receiving ‘Mentor of the Year’ and Queens’ director Faith Musembi on receiving ‘Rising Star of the Year’ at the Buzzy Awards in Marrakech yesterday! 🙌 #NatGeoQueens is the first premium natural history series to celebrate female leadership in the natural world, made by a female-led team. The female leadership on this project was intentionally set up to support women, carers and underrepresented talent at every level. To create a new working model for this genre that included, not excluded. Queens has left a legacy that has quite literally changed the face of the industry. 🙏 Now streaming on Disney+. #wcsfp #wcsfp2024 #documentaryawards Fremantle

We are overjoyed that the groundbreaking work of the Queens’ team has been recognised with an IDA Documentary Award nomination for Best Episodic Series. 🙏 #NatGeoQueens fulfilled our ambition to deliver something accessible, relatable, entertaining, and unapologetically dramatic, enticing a younger and more diverse audience to the genre. While new science underpins every sequence, this is not straight specialist factual. These storylines make dramas like Succession look tame. Queens is now streaming on Disney+. #IDA #IDAawards #IDAawards2024 #documentaryawards Fremantle
