Another genius campaign putting English wine on the map 👏
We’re delighted to share our latest press campaign released today to mark World Champagne Day! Building on the success of last year’s ‘Chapelle en Bas’ campaign, this year we’ve partnered with renowned chefs Michel and Emily Roux to tap into their French heritage and playfully challenge the perception of champagne versus English sparkling wine. Michel and Emily hosted an exclusive dining event at Emily’s restaurant, Caractère, where diners arrived thinking they were attending the launch of new cuvées, paired with a contemporary French menu. At the end of the meal, diners were asked to share their thoughts and guess the brand of sparkling wine they’d been enjoying. Michel and Emily then revealed the big surprise! We encourage you to watch the campaign video to see their reactions and hear what they thought of our wines. As a result of the event’s success, Chapel Down Kit’s Coty Blanc de Blancs has earned a place on Emily Roux’s prestigious wine list at Caractère. Michel Roux has also been a long-time supporter of Chapel Down, being the first Michelin-starred chef to feature our luxury Kit’s Coty range at his two-Michelin star restaurant, Le Gavroche, when the wines first launched in 2016. Kit’s Coty were also the first wines listed at Michel’s new restaurant, Chez Roux at The Langham, which opened earlier this year. #EnglishWine #WorldChampagneDay #PressCampaign #ChampagnePerceptions

The WineGB annual trade and press tasting is tomorrow, with a whopping 80 English wine producers showing. It's awesome to see how our young industry is growing, and we're proud that quality is leading the way. Wine tourism is key to the growth of our new wine region. Wine Garden of England works alongside many other regional groups to build awareness of the amazing vineyards that welcome visitors across the country. If you are going tomorrow, make sure you visit Balfour Winery, Biddenden Vineyards Ltd, Chapel Down Group, Gusbourne and Simpsons Wine Estate - five of the nine Kent vineyards that make up Wine Garden of England, working together to bring tourists to Kent. #winetourism #englishwine #visitkent

The love of Kent vineyards is spreading to mainstream media and we couldn’t be happier. Well deserved credit to Chapel Down Group 🍾
We had some lovely news to wake up to this morning ❤️ We're delighted to share the news that Country Living Magazine has named Chapel Down among the best vineyards in Kent! County Living described us as the "vineyard in Kent that helped lead the renaissance of English wines" and as being "no stranger to winning prestigious awards" - two things that we're incredibly proud of. Have you visited an English vineyard yet? You're sure to encounter passionate, knowledgeable people who will give you an experience to cherish. (And you get to drink wine!) What an achievement for Chapel Down Group and for Kent wine as a whole. Congratulations Josh Donaghay-Spire and all the team!
We’re really proud to share that our Chapel Down Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée 2016 has been named as the Top Sparkling Wine in England at the WineGB Awards today! Our Kit’s Coty Coeur de Cuvée was awarded an astounding four trophies in total, including ‘Best Prestige Cuvée’ and ‘Supreme Champion’ – the highest prize given at the ceremony. And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, our Kit’s Coty Chardonnay 2021 received a further three trophies; ‘Best Chardonnay’, ‘Top Still Wine’, and ‘Best Sustainable Wine’. On receiving the ‘Supreme Champion’ trophy at the Wine GB Awards Ceremony earlier today, our Down Head Winemaker, Josh Donaghay-Spire, said: “We’re truly delighted to win such an amazing award. When we planted Kit’s Coty vineyard we only dreamed of the quality it could produce and revealing this has been one of the joys of being a part of the birth of a brand new wine region. This accolade is a testament to the Kent Downs and the team at Chapel Down who maximise the potential of this amazing terroir through their hard work and dedication.” Today is a really proud day for all of us – and a day to celebrate the inspiring work being done across our wine industry in the UK. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us all next! #WineGB #Awards #EnglishWine #EnglishSparklingWine #BestCuvee Nicola Bates Phoebe French Wine & Spirit Education Trust Miles Beale Wine Garden of England Jo Ginn Giles James Dan Farrell-Wright Rebecca Palmer Matthew Horsley Rebecca Mitchell DipWSET

Our vineyards are proud to be part of the leading region in the UK for wine production. The WineGB Awards have once again recognised Kent with some impressive wins. We often win awards because Kent is the best place in the UK to grow fruit due to the longest hours of sunshine and pretty amazing soil. Match that with some of the world's best winemakers and we are starting to look like a very interesting wine region on the world stage. Our vines are only an hour or so from London - you should come and see for yourself 🥂 Special mention goes to the winners within Wine Garden of England: Chapel Down Group Gusbourne Westwell Wine Estates Simpsons Wine Estate Biddenden Vineyards Ltd Yotes Court Vineyard

Fascinating article in Vineyard Magazine by Stephen Skelton regarding the inevitable rise of land prices in Kent and the Southeast due to its suitability for planting premium vineyards. Another tick for Kent Vineyards, especially considering how close they are to London, accessing a rich tourism market. https://lnkd.in/ez2hSsj5 #landprices #kentvineyards #winetourism #southeast
