Ever thought you had to work in B2C PR to be creative? Well, we spoke to the head of our business team, Jessica Heaney to ask her about being creative in the world of B2B PR and comms. Jess says: 'There's a common misconception that B2B PR lacks creativity—often dismissed as just whitepapers and round tables. But let's set the record straight: B2B PR can be just as creative, if not more so, than B2C PR. In B2B, the products and services we promote may not be "sexy" in the traditional sense. We aren’t always working with flashy consumer goods. But this is exactly why creativity is essential. In many ways, B2B requires even greater innovation and inventiveness. The stakeholder pool is often smaller, and this means our campaigns need to be even more memorable and unique to cut through the noise and make a lasting impact. Creativity in B2B PR isn't always about staging grand stunts or flashy events; it’s about crafting compelling narratives and finding new ways to engage and resonate emotionally with stakeholders. It’s about thinking outside the box to highlight what makes our clients truly stand out.' So, let’s redefine what we mean by creativity in PR. Last week, John Ramsay from Social-Ability delivered Dementia Awareness Training for the Words + Pixels team. Working with Social Ability, we're able to see and promote the vital work that they do to help improve the lives of those living with dementia, and as 1 in 11 people in the UK have dementia according to the NHS, it's more than likely we will all be able to benefit from the training John provided to support a loved one. Huge thank you to John and the Social Ability team for taking the time to deliver the invaluable session! 👏
