Working Knowledge was founded in 2004 to bridge the gap between education and the workplace. Too much talent, young and old, is being wasted in dead end jobs and zero hours contracts or indeed an education that is not properly preparing people for a career. This isn’t good for the individual, nor is it good for businesses and the UK economy.
At Working Knowledge, we passionately believe that businesses limit their growth potential unless they engage with the energy, innovation, creativity and talent within their workforce. And to do this, employees must be given the training opportunities to shine. Training needs to step beyond the textbook or the static classroom environment and instead be deeply practical, business-focussed and driven by results. With our team of experienced marketing practitioners, we have co-designed and now deliver a unique Digital Marketing Apprenticeship.
We also work within the education sector to give young people the step-up they need to launch their careers. Though we have worked in this area for over 15 years, we continue to be surprised and blown away by the incredible talent and tenacity demonstrated 16-19-year-olds still in education. We provide FE Colleges with consultancy and training to build stronger links with local employers who can help shape the curriculum, provide work placements, share career insights and open doors to employment.
Everything we do is underpinned by a deep understanding of what motivates and drives a young workforce and also how the education system and the young people it serves can benefit from employers.
