Project Updates for Llandudno Hospital 🛠️ Work is progressing well at our sites in Llandudno Hospital, where we are constructing the Llandudno Orthopaedic Theatres and the Energy Centre for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The steelworks and the flooring slabs at the Orthopaedic Theatres have been completed, with the cladding and roofing works well underway. Internal works are progressing, with the drylining and M&E installations taking place and the extension on the x-ray ward has commenced. Fantastic work from our site team and subcontractors! Exciting project update! 👷 Last week we attended the 'topping out' ceremony at our Maggie's Centres site in Bodelwyddan. We were joined by representatives from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and Steve Morgan Foundation. The Maggie's North Wales centre will be the second of three centers built by the Steve Morgan Foundation and this ceremony marked an incredible milestone in the building stage of the project. #ChangingLivesForGood #Construction #NorthWales

Meet the Buyer 🛠️ Wynne Construction is looking to engage with local subcontractors and social enterprise organisations from Newport and the surrounding areas of the South East Wales region, who are interested in working with us to deliver the new Newport Leisure Centre. Wynne Construction have been appointed by Newport City Council to design and build the Newport Leisure Centre. A variety of packages are available. Wynne Construction is seeking to engage with local companies to support this scheme and future projects. We are particularly interested in meeting with social enterprises across the South East Wales region. Meetings will be held over Teams on Wednesday 26th March from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Meetings will be slots of 15 minutes each and will be hosted by members of Wynne Construction's QS and Design Team. The format is 1-2-1 meetings booked in advance. Official Opening 👏 The new Bron Y Nant Disability Respite Centre was officially opened on the 6th March by the Minister for Children and Social Care, Dawn Bowden MS. Members of the team went along to celebrate with the Conwy County Borough Council team and other key stakeholders It was great to hear the impact that this purpose-built development on Dinerth Road in Rhos on Sea has made in the short time since our completion in 2023. The centre provides care and support for people in Conwy who have disabilities. Refreshments were served at the Bryn Euryn Nursery and Cafe, also part of the build scheme and great to see this fantastic facility open. Women Working in Construction 👷♀️ With multiple avenues available for women to enter the construction industry, we are proud to support women in their chosen profession on site and in the office. The steady increase of women joining the industry is inspiring the next generations and breaking down barriers. From site operatives, health and safety professionals, social value managers, finance professionals and office staff. Community work in Wrexham Last month we collaborated with Thomas Contracting Ltd at Wrexham Maelor Hospital for Wrexham Community Gardeners, to lay a path which enables easier access to the polytunnel communal space. A recently established volunteering group, the Wrexham Community Gardeners aim to make Wrexham a better place to live, work and visit. This ongoing project will create an allotment style garden for the patients, staff and visitors to come and grow fruit and vegetables, with the produce then donated back to the local community. Thank you to the volunteers who gave up their time to help make this project accessible to all. #Community #Volunteering #Gardening
