Jack's family sail from Fambridge Yacht Haven onboard their Jeanneau Sun Odessey 40 and live locally to Essex. A sailor from the age of 5, Jack is an experienced boater having crossed the English Channel many times and has lovingly restored his own vessel, a Sun 2000 named Victoria. Business and Qualification Developer at South Devon College. Director at Maritime UK South West Ltd
Another busy day today taking our South Korean delegation to meet a selection of South Devon College marine academy employer partners. Thanks to Ashley Scott and his team at Princess Motor Yacht Sales for a most informative visit and the chance for our colleagues to see the retro-fit department. They also had the chance to talk with one of our final year Marine Engineer apprentices to understand at first hand more about UK apprenticeship programmes. Thanks also to John Hunnibell and Mike Tinmouth at ACUA Ocean for sharing the progress on the highly innovative and unique H-USV platform vessel and for answering a whole range of questions. The translator certainly had his work cut out! The day concluded with a visit to Yacht Haven Quay, one of Yacht Havens Group Ltd excellent marina and dry stack facilities. Dry stacks are unknown in South Korea so the chance for the group to see a 200 vessel dry stack in operation was a real eye-opener.

It's lovely to have Tessa and Fred from Jachthaven Biesbosch joining us on the stand today at the Southampton International Boat Show. Jachthaven Biesbosch is one of Europe's largest inland marinas, with the stunning cruising grounds of the Biesbosch National Park available to boaters to enjoy.

Well this visitor brings a new meaning to 'VIP'... This little Kingfisher appeared a little dazed and confused when it was found outside the office at Lymington Yacht Haven. But after a little respite and care from Yard Foreman Andrew, it seemed to regain its strength and head on its way! A truly special encounter and a unique, close-up view of a absolutely stunning little creature.
