Young Bristol are incredibly proud to announce that Kat, Club Leader at BS14 Stockwood Youth Club, was awarded the 'Outstanding Leader of the Year' award at the NABGC Awards Evening 2024.🎉 Kat was nominated as 'Outstanding Leader of the Year' award as she has acted as a rock and constant positive role model to the 305 young people attending BS14 Stockwood Youth Club over the past year. 🏆 Her main focus at the club is how she can create a wide and diverse offer for young people, and has done amazingly well in doing so by leading the only Looked After Children provision in Bristol, being involved in Holiday Club activities, ensuring young people receive a hot meal each day.🍴 Congratulations Kat on winning this incredible award! We are delighted to announce that Young Bristol has become the third charity in the South West to be selected for the Noble Performs Deeds programme!🎉 The Deeds programme provides digital marketing training and support to not-for-profits, helping us to deliver our vital services in the area. This year, the support package stands at £25,000, which we will use to upskill our marketing team!🚀 Lucy Saunders, Head of Fundraising & Development said: “We are thrilled to be the selected charity for this year's Noble Deeds programme. Their support will make a big difference, not only by up-skilling our team, but also by helping us to further our reach and services to even more young people.”💬 The Noble team will be working with us until February to help us achieve a number of objectives. Unite Students volunteer day!💪 Last week, we were delighted to invite Unite Students to Ashton Vale Club for Young People. Seven generous volunteers dedicated their day to help improve our facilities for the benefit of young people!🙌 Across their two voluntary days, the teams helped us to trim back the overgrown hedges and bushes that surround our multi-sports court, making the area easily accessible to our staff and young people!⚽ Thank you to the team at Unite Students for your continued support towards Young Bristol. Last week, we were pleased to support 25 staff members from Unite Students take part in their first walking Half Marathon, raising money for Young Bristol. 🚶♂️ The teams completed their walk from Bath to Bristol on the Bristol and Bath Railway Path in under 5 hours!
