Fantastic to walk through the new Chichester College STEM and Higher Education (HE) Centre nearing completion together with our partners at SCAPE. Willmott Dixon is a long-term SCAPE partner, collaborating to drive successful and value-driven delivery and this project shows just that. Net zero design is key to Chichester College and the embodied carbon which uses steel produced in an electric arc furnace to create the building’s frame is one of the solutions we designed in the project. In this new specialist building, students will train in advanced STEM technologies, with sustainability included in all curriculum teaching at the college. While being able to continue studying without disruptions, the students have already visited the project, and we can’t wait for them to use this transformational building on their campus. Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the opening ceremony for our recently completed project at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Working with HLM Architects and Pick Everard , this state-of-the-art facility, acquired through the SCAPE framework, was purpose-built to provide the Royal Corps of Army Music (RCAM) with an exceptional acoustic environment for rehearsals, performances, and musical collaboration. The facility was formally opened on the 23rd of January by HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh (DssE), which was followed by a fantastic performance from the band. It was truly rewarding to see the building come to life, fulfilling its purpose, and supporting such incredible artistry. In December we finished two fantastic projects in Wales, one of which was St Andrews Primary School in Newport. This is our fourth project for Newport City Council Procured through SEWSCAP , working on this £12 million, 2,000 sq m primary school had its challenges, particularly with access being restricted due to its location within an existing school. But despite the hurdles, the end result is absolutely fantastic. Newport Norse Stride Treglown Cambria Consulting Ltd @mccann-and-partners-ltd Hydrock, now Stantec NEAL STEPHENS @ian-jones-b66409b5

One of the areas our "Now or Never" strategy focuses on is connecting with education providers to showcase diverse construction roles beyond traditional perceptions. Last week, we hosted our annual Educate the Educator Day at our Weybridge office, attended by 25 careers leaders and tutors. They gained insights into construction disciplines, helping them guide students toward the industry's wide-ranging opportunities. As the industry face a skills shortage, supporting schools and colleges to meet Gatsby benchmarks and delivering social value in our communities remain priorities. Several Willmott Dixon colleagues shared their expertise and personal career journeys, receiving excellent feedback for their contributions. Making dreams come true for the stars of the future. We’ve done just that at The Dome in Kentish Town, where our work to rejuvenate this cultural landmark into a venue for a new generation of musical acts to showcase their talent is featured in a new Amazon Prime show called Unsigned - Backing the Dream. This excellent programme charts the journey of several talented musicians as they seek to get record contracts and become the stadium fillers of tomorrow. To make this happen, we teamed up with IPG Mediabrands and our supply chain partners to create a modern new environment at The Dome to host the gigs featured in the show. As the trailer explains, “The music business is tough. Live venues are closing. Emerging artists are struggling to keep their music dreams alive. Something needs to change. So when an ambitious initiative sets out to find a new way to create breakthrough opportunities for artists, thousands apply. Is it going to work? You never know until you try. Welcome to Unsigned.” Unsigned is a powerful way of showing the impact of our industry in helping to realise the dreams of people. It’s also a great watch! https://lnkd.in/eEWcxqXA
