20 Years of Zebra Architects Limited!!! Today we celebrate Zebra turning 20 years old ! From humble beginnings it has been a challenge but a very fulfilling one. We have been resilient against two recessions, enjoyed four office moves and watched the growth and development of some talented Architects and Technicians. We have made some great friends over the years and enjoy repeat business from returning clients. We are very proud to have remained true to our core values, building and maintaining our small friendly architectural practice that delivers schemes nationwide with a particular bias on residential design whether that is affordable housing, open market housing, residential care and student accommodation. We also have expertise in heritage, education and industrial. More recently we have opened our Hertfordshire office to expand our reach, serving clients all over the country ranging from schemes as far north as Scotland to the south of England. We are proud of our team and what we are achieving together and those that have contributed to our success who are no longer with us. Not sure if you know, but quite a bit of Zebra’s work is in other parts of the UK. These photos show a couple of affordable, refurb/conversion sites that we are involved with in the North West. It’s great to be involved in bringing old buildings back to life in any part of the country, but these two are in Liverpool and Ashton-under-Lyne respectively. Zebra are over the moon to have received commendations for two projects at yesterday evenings Worcestershire Architecture Awards! The commendations were for projects in the categories for ‘Unbuilt Project Outside Worcestershire’ and ‘Excellent Contribution to Conservation’, for the Former Griffin public house in Norwich, and Hillhampton Stables, Great Witley respectively. The Former Griffin proposal is an 87 unit extra care home, with shared facilities and guest suites. Hillhampton Stables is a refurbishment of a curtilage listed building, which we took from a semi dilapidated building to a high quality 3 bedroom house. Designed in conjunction with Historic England. We took load of the dazzle, and all had a fab time!
