  • Here's why getting expert advice on salary sacrifice and company cars is the key to understanding what your employees want and how your company can access the long-term benefits. 💡 Recent research* found that 64% of employees view salary sacrifice as an important workplace benefit, with 33% viewing it as one of the most attractive eco-friendly employee benefits, and 48% of employees whose employers don’t currently offer salary sacrifice would like to see it as part of their remuneration package. While more businesses are opting for salary sacrifice schemes to strengthen their benefits packages, company car schemes are still proven to be an effective way reduce company emissions and hit ESG targets via an electric fleet. 🧠 Getting expert advice can: A) Help you design a fleet policy that will be effective in meeting your wider business aims. 📈 B) Give employees the option to find a benefits package that works for them. 🤝 When it comes to discovering whether a salary sacrifice or company car scheme is the right option for you, there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. That's why designing a policy that works for both you and your employees is how we get to the heart of helping you acheive your goals. • As the world and business continues to evolve, so too does our society and culture. For many, diversity and inclusion plays a crucial role in business performance, as well as shaping the fabric of company culture. 🤝 As many businesses reevaluate their inclusion policies, Stuart Price FCIPD shares his thoughts on why the automotive industry can't afford to let D&I stagnate and reaffirms Zenith's belief in building a strong and inclusive culture. "At its core, diversity and inclusion is about valuing difference, and making sure everyone feels safe and able to bring their best self to work. It creates a stronger culture that drives customer outcomes, innovative solutions, and business performance." 🧠 💭 Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e2UgQNxf

Today is my last day as Zenith Vehicles CEO - my job of a lifetime. It has been a privilege to be part of such a fantastic business, working with the best customers, alongside truly amazing colleagues. When I joined Zenith in 2005, I was employee number 82, based in the old mill in Calverley and we had just 12,000 company cars. As I hand the CEO role to Richard Jones, we have 1,400 employees, sites across the UK, and our group now services over 170,000 vehicles from cars to HGVs, across corporate, commercial and consumer. A few of my many highlights: • The way in which we have enabled so many major UK companies to start their transition to electric vehicles and making a clear commitment to net zero targets has been incredibly important to me. • Securing the largest sterling Green Bond of £475m in 2022. • Launching the UK’s first direct-to-consumer contract hire business in ZenAuto. • Expanding our business through four major acquisitions. • Continuing to build our digital capabilities with an industry-leading transformation programme to better enhance our colleague and customer experience. • And, I love seeing the Zenith brand on cars and vans across our motorway network! There have of course been tough times and I’m immensely proud of how we as a business rallied together to support each other and our customers during challenging times such as Covid. It is testament to the team’s ongoing hard work that we have won multiple awards, including three Fleet News Leasing Company of the Year accolades! Making the decision to retire has not been easy, but having spent the last few weeks handing over to Richard, I know he is the right fit for this business and have great confidence in him and the leadership team to continue driving Zenith in the right direction as it enters this next phase. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey, and I wish you all the very best for the future. Tim

  • "If you were to ask me what's the best lesson I've learned in my career so far, I'd tell you this." 👩🏫 As we reflect on colleague's reactions and experiences since the launch of MyGPS, Bryony Seth shares her thoughts on how building a people-led learning and development programme is a vital tool for building successful teams. 💭🖊️ "Everyone is human, regardless of status. We all have flaws and insecurities, but they shouldn't hold us back. I always strive for my ambition to guide my choices both personally and professionally, and with the tools MyGPS provides, as well as the support of the MyGPS champions, it's been brilliant to be able to engage with colleagues who share the same values and objectives.   It's made me realise that being allowed to feel comfortable sharing successes and failures in an open forum is a key part of your development. Hearing stories from colleagues across the business makes you understand and appreciate that with enough determination and hard work, anything is possible. Learning that failure is just a mindset and success is actionable really reaffirmed my belief in myself as well as others. I can't wait to see what the future brings." What's the most valuable lesson you've learned in your career that you'd share with a colleague? 🤔

  • Did you ever map out what you wanted your career to look like? Fast forward to now - how close are you to your original plan and what's changed? It's interesting to think how personal success can be achieved with the right tools in place to support you. 🧠 Since joining Zenith in 2023, Millie Breakspeare has been on a continuous journey of learning, applying knowledge, and learning some more. We're proud to say that now her apprenticeship has been completed (with distinction we might add), we're delighted to welcome her to the next stage of her career. Millie has been using the MyGPS tools to define where she wants her career to go and mapping the route for her personal development. ✍ "𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘦𝘺𝘦-𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵. • A new forecast from Cox Automotive Inc. has revealed that electric vehicles are due to overtake ICE equivalents in popularity by 2028 as drivers adopt greener travel solutions. 🔋 The four year forecast predicts a continued upward trajectory for electric vehicles, representing a predicted market share of 𝟯𝟲% in comparison to under a third (𝟯𝟬%) occupied by ICE vehicles. We're confident that along with the support of our supply chains and collaborative networks, that the UK can achieve its net zero targets. As a business committed to decarbonising the UK vehicle parc it's imperative that we continue to set clear examples for our peers, customers and drivers. Is this is a realistic forecast or does the UK have more work to do? Share your thoughts 💬

  • International Women's Day Spotlight: Olivia Mills ♀️ As she settles into her new role as Head of Consumer Customer Services, Olivia shares her experiences as a female leader.🗨️ 💬 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘵 𝘡𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘸𝘰𝘮a𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦? I've been fortunate at Zenith to have always had leaders that have given me the autonomy to gain new experiences within my roles. Allyship comes very naturally to them and it's clearly shown the importance of it in supporting women's career development. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘦 𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘥? My roles have given me exposure to view practices outside of Zenith in a male dominated automotive industry. The biggest challenge I've encountered was when I was younger I mirrored negative behaviours I experienced. I was young, establishing my own values and looking to those around me for guidance. After acknowledging the impact, it took a great deal of reflection and personal development to undo this and establish values true to myself. We're responsible for nurturing the future custodians of our industry, so always think about who you are interacting with and if your behaviours are ones you would want mirrored in them? 𝘈𝘴 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘵 𝘡𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦? I'm inspired by how open so many female leaders have been to share their honest (often vulnerable) experiences and learnings with me as I've been progressing through my career. The influx of support I've received from female leaders going into my new role has just been overwhelming. I feel connected and reassured, but there's no feeling of needing to hold anything back for themselves or protect their own career development from competition. There's a feeling at Zenith of pushing in the same direction, that if one of us succeeds we all do. That's how I know we're making a difference. 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺? 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧! I was hell bent on pushing ahead to the next step. Every time I got a promotion I was looking to the next one. But it was a number of years before I asked myself "what do I enjoy? What do I want to do more of? Why do I even want it?" There are many different ways to progress and gain personal development, don’t think too linearly! I'd also tell them that they'll thrive and enjoy this broad and fast paced industry. You'll build fantastic relationships and develop skill sets you never even knew existed when you were at school…as long as you are true to yourself. 🤲
